Karen received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She graduated from law school at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and passed the bar exam while attending law school. Karen focused her legal education on litigation and won the Paul W. Holloway Trial Advocacy award. She graduated with Pro Bono Distinction and won a CALI Award for the highest grade in the class. She considers Arizona her permanent home, but she prides herself on bringing her Midwestern work ethic to her legal practice.
As a family law attorney, Karen has significant experience in a wide array of cases, including divorce, paternity, grandparent visitation, child support, spousal maintenance, property division, valuations, jurisdictional issues, military benefits, orders of protection, appeals, prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements, domestic violence, child abuse, substance abuse, mental health disorders, contempt and enforcement issues, modifications, and waste claims. She is experienced in successfully navigating high-conflict, complex cases and works closely with clients to understand the circumstances of each case for effective advocacy.
Outside of practicing law, Karen enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and watching a good movie or show.
