I hired Cantor after I asked for a recommendation (a few years back) for a friend's friend in Tempe where Cantor had his office, which is where the DUI occurred. If I had known he had moved into one of the most expensive properties in downtown Phoenix, I might have not have consulted him. But I felt there were problems with the entire DUI process and that I needed a lawyer. Because he had previously practiced in Tempe, I thought he was a good choice. In retrospect and as I was later informed, he was the worse choice. I never believed the breathalyzer number Tempe PD gave me and I never refused to blow contrary to Tempe PD's assertion. I thought I had a good case. Until I witnessed a young female named Jessica in Cantor's lobby discussing a bribe with an older man who asked if my cystic fibrosis definitely kicked in in two years. I DO NOT HAVE CYSTIC FIBROSIS. That is a fiction my step-mother created in the 80's. My DUI blood did not come back for months after it had gone to Tucson (mysteriously) for lab work. The arresting officer no showed TWICE at the Motor Vehicle hearing (he first postponed to be accurate then no showed). Cantor's firm did not inform me of a successful motion they filed with Tempe Court and thus I took the plea deal based on their advice and the information I had available at the time. Cantor's OWN associate told me I had a malpractice/fraud case against Cantor. Several people have confided my BAC was actually not even over .15 much less over .2 as was claimed (which was what I was fairly sure of). Then when I filed a malpractice claim, I got a judge who, let's just say, was not a good draw. I would NEVER recommend Cantor's firm for anything. Plus they were terrifically expensive and lied to me about my case. I also received information after the fact (in writing) that the State Bar of Arizona was in collusion with the process as I was a licensed attorney. I became the only attorney likely in the state of Arizona to completely lose a law license over a trumped up DUI. Cantor's associate told me plenty of lawyers and judges in Arizona had first time DUI's, which was my situation. But I got permanently suspended by the State Bar of Arizona, the equivalent of disbarment, it just sounds less harsh. So, in the end, I concluded how Cantor defends the DUI depends on where the most cash is coming from. I only paid $6K. How much did the older man pay who thought my cystic fibrosis kicked in in two years? And the State Bar of Arizona has a Jessica with whom I have had words with for years over her lack of ethics. Bottom line: if you desire to drink, either move to a different state with ethical legal processes or vacation elsewhere. Do not give Arizona and its unethical legal processes your money or the time of day. On top of all that, the intoxilyzer was miswired into my car AND it was deliberately miscalibrated. Thanks for nothing Cantor. You can take back all those fruit baskets you sent me after I recommended you to my friend's friend.

Got into a little trouble on Mill Avenue and needed an attorney to help me out. I went to yelp and searched for defense attorneys to help me out with my small case. I called quite a few attorneys that I found but always talked to the receptionist that said an attorney will call me back shortly. After waiting a few hours and not even getting a call back I went back to yelp and I kept searching. That's when I finally found David Cantor. I called David's office and immediately spoke to an attorney. I went in for the free consultation and retained David to fight my case. In the end, David got my case completely dismissed. He's a really knowledgeable attorney and his staff was wonderful to work with. I highly recommend David to anyone who needs legal help. Thank you David!

I was arrested and charged with some very serious assault charges, and looking at really a horrible situation. Jonathan Hupp is my attorney, and he worked extremely hard to get me a really good deal that will allow my case to become a misdemeanor after probation. Jonathan always promptly answered any phone calls and emails and made me feel at ease. This law firm is top notch and I would recommend them to anyone I have the opportunity to.

I made a judgement mistake and was facing some serious jail time and didn't know what to do. This would have cost me the respect of my friends and family, not to mention losing my job, not seeing my kids, paying an ungodly amount of money, losing my rights, the list goes on. The staff at David Michael Cantor really pulled through for me and I couldn't be happier. I EXTREMELY recommend anyone to give them a call and at least do the free consultation. You'll be glad you did, just like I am!

The Cantor firm are good lawyers in some areas of law but make sure you get everything in writing. I was promised things that changed at a later date. They did a poor job on my divorce and promised follow up work for pro bono to offset the performance. I called to take David up on his offer and they changed their stand on the offer. Sad... Every meeting when work scope and dollars was discused items changed in their favor later, I should have seen this in the begining and walked away. I also had 4 different lawyers over my divorce, big turn over for some reason.

David Michael Cantors staff of highley respected attorneys have handled two seperate cases for me. One, a feloney DUI and the other a license revocation. David Maletta was the attorney that handled my cases for Mr. Cantor. In the feloney case the end result was a reduction to misdemeaner and 3 days in jail vs. a feloney and fOUR MONTHS MINIMUM in prison. The MVD refused to allow me my drivers license after three years revocation Mr. Maletta got me the green light to get it back in less than two months. I cannot Thank you Mr. Maletta and Mr. Cantor enough. Thank's J.W.

MY 24 Y/O DAUGHTER WAS CHARGED WITH A DUI IN TEMPE. AS HER PARENTS, OUR FAMILY WAS DEVASTATED. WE DID SOME RESEARCH REGARDING ATTORNEY'S EXPERIENCED IN THIS FIELD AND HAD A CONSULTATION WITH THE CANTOR LAW FIRM. DAVID MALETTA MET WITH US & AFTER HEARING ALL OF THE FACTS, ASSURED US THAT THEIR FIRM WOULD BE ABLE TO HELP. ATTORNEY JONATHAN GOEBEL WAS THE ASSIGNED ATTORNEY AND MET WITH US INITIALLY TO DISCUSS THE PARTICULARS AND AGAIN AT A LATER DATE. ALTHOUGH HER BAC LEVEL WAS JUST OVER THE LEGAL LIMIT, HER CASE COMPLICATED BY A PRIOR RECKLESS DRIVING CHARGE WITHIN THE LAST 5 YRS, MAKING A PLEA OF ANOTHER RECKLESS DRIVING ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO ACCEPT WITHOUT A MANDATORY LICENSE REVOCATION FOR 1 YEAR. MR GOEBEL APPROACHED MY DAUGHTER'S CASE WITH EXPERIENCE AND TENACITY AND HIS DILIGENT NEGOTIATIONS ALLOWED MY DAUGHTER TO RECEIVE AN AGGRESSIVE DRIVING CHARGE, WHICH THEN DID NOT FORCE THE MANDATORY LICENSE REVOCATION. THERE IS NO DUI ON HER RECORD. THERE WERE APPROPRIATE CONSEQUENCES CONSISTENT WITH AGRESSIVE DRIVING, NONE OF WHICH INCLUDED LOOSING HER LICENSE AND/OR THE NEED TO HAVE AN IGNITION INTERLOCK ON HER VEHICLE. MY DAUGHTER WAS FORTUNATE NOT ONLY FOR THE FINAL OUTCOME, BUT TO HAVE AVOIDED THE "STIGMA" ASSOCIATED WITH A DUI ON HER RECORD. OUR SINCERE APPRECIATION TO THE CANTOR LAW FIRM, DAVID MALETTA AND MOST IMPORTANTLY- JONATHAN GOEBEL. THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

I have never worked with David but have hired his firm twice now and have had two directed verdict dismissals. They are rare to say the least but then so is a great attorney. Elizabeth Mullins is the attorney that was assigned to work both of my cases. She was fantastic. For details please see the review that i wrote on her avvo review page. If you need the best go to Cantor and they will help you to obtain the best possible results in your case. I am speaking from experience.

I have known David Cantor professionally for several years so when I needed personal representation in a criminal case, I turned to him for help. My experience with David Cantor and his staff attorney Elizabeth Mullins exceeded my expectations and could not have been better. Words and phrases that come to mind in characterizing their work are; top notch, professional, high quality representation, happy to help, easy to work with and the willingness to invest time and effort that went above and beyond. I am completely satisfied with the way that David Cantor and his staff attorney Elizabeth Mullins handled my case and, as a result, highly recommend them to anyone, especially family and friends, for legal representation regarding any criminal mater.
