Hillary Walsh | National Immigration Scholar & Appellate Trailblazer
I founded New Frontier Immigration Law in 2019 because I believe freedom is the baseline for every human in the U.S.—and that freedom starts with legal status. Today, I don’t just practice immigration law; I work to master it so I can teach it to other lawyers.
As a former Immigration Law Adjunct Professor at the University of Arizona and International Human Rights Adjunct Professor at Troy University, I have dedicated my career to training the next generation of advocates. My legal arguments have set Ninth Circuit precedent, and my published scholarship in the Catholic University and University of Kansas Law Reviews has been cited by federal courts and even adopted by circuit courts.
In my forthcoming book, "From DACA to Green Card: No Marriage Required," I expose the overlooked legal pathways that allow Dreamers to secure permanent residency without relying on marriage. My work has been featured from Newsweek to TEDx to Vogue, where I advocate for a humane, solution-oriented approach to immigration reform.
National Leadership & Advocacy
Federal Advocacy: I have a history of fostering relationships with our government leaders. I have met directly with U.S. Senators Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego to shape national policy, Governor Doug Ducey (ret.) and AZ Senator Ortiz to collaborate on local matters. I also litigate in federal court, bringing lawsuits that challenge illegal practices, gaining outcomes that set precedent.
Raising the Bar: I have taught numerous CLEs for the Arizona State Bar. I have taught a private immigration law session just for the Bar's attorneys. The AZ Bar also sought me as an expert witness in immigration law. The Nevada State Bar has published my work in its "Nevada Lawyer" magazine.
AILA Leadership: Former AILA Congressional Liaison for Arizona (2021-2022), in addition to teaching appellate immigration CLEs.
Client-centered approach: With over 5,000 clients served, I keep my clients and their families at the center of everything I do. I pride myself on being innovative and tailoring my strategies to the needs of each individual. My team is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and I'm working hard to be right there with them someday!
Whether you are seeking a family-based green card, navigating work authorization, or facing a federal appeal, put the lawyer who wrote the book—and the law—on your side. We provide 24/7 access to a team that understands the system because we help define it.

Highly Responsive and Professional Service
I was impressed with how quickly Hillary responded to my questions and how professionally everything was handled. She explained details thoroughly and made sure I felt comfortable throughout. Although there was a lot of information to take in at times, her patience and clarity made the process feel m...

Worth Every Penny and More
My civil case was complicated, emotional, and expensive. Hillary never once made me feel like I was bothering her with questions. She’d take the time to explain things twice if I needed it, send summaries after calls so I could reread them, and always circle back when she said she would. Her strategy...

Scary Stuff Feel Doable
Immigration had already rejected my application twice, and I was ready to give up. A coworker told me about Hillary, so I emailed her late one night expecting nothing. She replied the next morning with real questions about my situation—not form letters. Over the next few months she kept things moving...

The Lawyer Who Didn’t Make Me Feel Small
A former partner sued me over some old contract nonsense, and I was terrified I’d lose everything. Hillary sat with me for over an hour the first time we met, letting me ramble and get it all out. She never once made me feel stupid for not understanding the legal side. Instead she broke it down, gave...

Finally Someone Who Actually Cared
I got dragged into a civil lawsuit over a bad business deal and felt completely out of my depth. Hillary was recommended by a friend, and thank God. She didn’t treat me like just another file—she asked about my kids, my stress levels, how the whole thing was hitting me personally. Then she laid out a...
"As a criminal defense attorney, many of our cases involve serious immigration consequences. I have referred several clients to Hillary, and she is both highly knowledgeable and deeply passionate about representing her clients. We work very well together, and Hillary and her team consistently do an outstanding job. I highly recommend her."
"I strongly endorse immigration attorney Hillary Walsh for her outstanding work providing critical immigration services. Her professionalism, deep knowledge of immigration law, and genuine commitment to helping individuals and families navigate complex processes make her an invaluable advocate. Hillary and her team consistently deliver compassionate, effective representation when it’s needed most. Highly recommended."
"Hillary is a terrific person, both in her practice and in the community. When she's not assisting her clients, she's busy supporting causes she believes in and encouraging others to do the same. I've known Hillary since law school and she continues to exhibit the same enthusiasm and charisma for the job today as she did when she took her first case many years ago."
"Hillary is a hard working, intelligent attorney. I would recommend her, without reservation, to anyone needing complicated immigration assistance."
