Awesome lawyer and even better person

Marty helped me sort out a family matter that was years in the making, and he did an outstanding job. Before finding Marty, I hired another attorney to "represent" me when my ex-wife filed for divorce, and we got a divorce decree. What I didn't realize at the time was that what really was happenin...g was that the case had gotten completely messed up and my legal position had basically gone down the drain. I was basically screwed over. Years passed, and I was paying child support that I couldn't afford to my ex, but I actually had custody of all the kids. It was really crazy. After the cost and experience I had with my first lawyer, I felt hopeless about changing anything. Then I met Marty. He stepped in and reopened the case to modify things. At every phase, he explained what we were going to do, why and why it mattered. He gave me choices and explained different approaches. His fees were fair. And in the end, he got me everything I and my kids needed. Marty knows the law, and he's really good about explaining it. He returns calls. He really cares. He is an awesome lawyer and person. I speak from experience when I recommend him. Do yourself a favor and hire a good attorney. A bad one can wreck your life.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
