I recently went through a divorce which was hard for me and my family. When I was looking for an attorney to represent me I couldn’t help but feel Matthew was genuinely sincere about helping me get through this process. Matthew was amazing!!!! I have a final parenting plan that was put in place years ago that was fairly boiler plate. Years later once my child became school aged, disagreements over districts quickly arose. During this time, I was a full time student and didn't have the financial resource to seek help. Unfortunately, the oth...er parent moved my child without permission to the school of their choice and unknowingly, I should have filed for a restraining order. The courts ended up deciding to keep my child in the district which was a difficult conclusion. I recently returned to work and commuting my child north quickly became a problem when my job was located much further south. The other parent ended up filing papers against me to modify the parenting plan to take majority custody which would have been absolutely devastating and far from the best interest of my child. I searched and searched for the right attorney to really understand the history of the case and how an unfortunate event resulted in a school placement which quite honestly made no sense when both households pass daily through my district. While the school placement was in order for elementary school prior to seeking counsel, Matthew was able to help give me a voice and stand up for a fair and justified modification to the parenting plan which has resulted in a drastically improved schedule and no time lost (which was completely unjustified). Matthew was able to take a terrible situation and completely turn it around to actually improve upon what was in place before. I had consulted other attorneys prior to hiring Matthew and always walked away worried that they didn't completely understand the current and past circumstances in addition to the motivations of the other party.
