Biography
Passion and creativity separate the best attorneys from the rest. I have learned these lessons while litigating all sorts of cases in Utah and Arizona. At times, settlement is the best option. When settlement cannot work, then trial is the answer. I have represented clients in over 50 trials, both in criminal cases and civil cases. As an attorney for Corbett & Gwilliam, PLLC, I continue to use my passion, experience, and creativity to serve my clients.
The American Society of Legal Advocates named me to its list of the Top 40 Under 40 attorneys in the state of Utah for 2016, an honor reserved for the top 1.5% of attorneys in the state. Thomson Reuters, a preeminent legal rating company, has recognized me as a SuperLawyer for the Mountain States.
I graduated from Baylor University School of Law in April 2006 and began work as a criminal defense attorney in Arizona. For five years, I represented clients in all kinds of criminal cases ranging from simple misdemeanors to first degree murders. In 2011, I moved my legal practice to Salt Lake City and began expanded my practice to include civil cases. Currently, I handle criminal cases, family law cases, personal injury cases, and other civil disputes in Utah's trial and appellate courts.
