Nonie Ferguson

Hiring Norine "Nonie" Ferguson HAS been the biggest mistake of my life. My children and I are receiving a substantial lesser amount in monthly support after Norine handled my divorce. She missed and/or ignored opportunities and details that would've significantly helped my case. My experience with... Norine and her team was good up until the day of mediation. She was disorganized, didn't remember details, didn't follow up on subpoenas or court orders to build my case. I didn't know who I was talking to. I was caught off guard, a total slap in my face. I couldn't understand all of the back-and-forth communication between me and her team-why was this such a disaster?? She didn't address my big issues. We communicated so much, I was made to feel that she really had a game plan. WRONG-she was like a deer in the headlights during mediation. I was truly counting on her and she let me down. She let my kids down. She did give me some advice to console me after mediation. She told me that statistic show that in a year and a half I will be remarried and I will be okay. WOW her advice angered me (still angry about today) and it continues to haunt me. I have two beautiful girls that are just starting puberty and she wants me to swipe right and find them a new daddy??? There is so much I want and urgently need to share in my review but, it keeps getting rejected by Avvo. I respect and appreciate what this website does so I will continue to resubmit my review until it gets approved. From the bottom of my heart, I emplore you to do more research. It won't take much to find a better lawyer than N. Ferguson. I wish I would've met with more lawyers before making my decision. She was the first lawyer I contacted and she made me feel assured and at ease. That should've been my first red flag. please don't put yourself or your children through what my children and I are enduring now. She literally broke me mentally, financially, and legally.

I chose Just Law because of the female staff. I asked myself, " who would fight an angry wife better than another female? " I also thought it would be best to unify Just Law, to me, and I nicknamed us “Team Nonie”. Nonie Ferguson Carter and the Just Law team did an outstanding job from start to finis...h. They were meticulous crunching the numbers from both financial disclosures. Nonie didn't take any crap from opposing counsel. I definitely recommend Just Law and will use them again if needed.

I hired Nonie for my divorce case after my first attorney informed me she was no longer practicing family law and that I would have to find a new attorney to complete my case. After over 2 years of nothing happening on my case, Nonie and Sharnae had it wrapped up within 2 months. My ex's parents ha...d hired one of the most expensive law firms in Utah, and the case was on the verge of going to trial. Nonie was able to assist in getting the case negotiated without going to trial which saved me tens of thousands, and a ton of additional time and stress involved. Sharnae and Nonie both were of utmost professionalism throughout the entire process, and hit the ground running from the second I hired them for my case. I wholeheartedly recommend Nonie, Sharnae, and Just Law for anyone going through a tough divorce situation. My only regret is that I didn't hire them sooner, as I believe it would have alleviated a lot of time, money, and stress on my part in dealing with an attorney who's actions compounded on top of an already difficult situation.

Not only is she the best lawyer experience I have ever had, but she also made me feel like she actually cared and was genuinely empathetic to my situation. I would recommend Nonie and her team at Just Law to anyone in need of a family lawyer.
