Nonie Ferguson

Hiring Norine "Nonie" Ferguson HAS been the biggest mistake of my life. My children and I are receiving a substantial lesser amount in monthly support after Norine handled my divorce. She missed and/or ignored opportunities and details that would've significantly helped my case. My experience with... Norine and her team was good up until the day of mediation. She was disorganized, didn't remember details, didn't follow up on subpoenas or court orders to build my case. I didn't know who I was talking to. I was caught off guard, a total slap in my face. I couldn't understand all of the back-and-forth communication between me and her team-why was this such a disaster?? She didn't address my big issues. We communicated so much, I was made to feel that she really had a game plan. WRONG-she was like a deer in the headlights during mediation. I was truly counting on her and she let me down. She let my kids down. She did give me some advice to console me after mediation. She told me that statistic show that in a year and a half I will be remarried and I will be okay. WOW her advice angered me (still angry about today) and it continues to haunt me. I have two beautiful girls that are just starting puberty and she wants me to swipe right and find them a new daddy??? There is so much I want and urgently need to share in my review but, it keeps getting rejected by Avvo. I respect and appreciate what this website does so I will continue to resubmit my review until it gets approved. From the bottom of my heart, I emplore you to do more research. It won't take much to find a better lawyer than N. Ferguson. I wish I would've met with more lawyers before making my decision. She was the first lawyer I contacted and she made me feel assured and at ease. That should've been my first red flag. please don't put yourself or your children through what my children and I are enduring now. She literally broke me mentally, financially, and legally.

Nonie came in and helped me in pretty complex, my boyfriends bitter ex girlfriend type of situation. That myself, and my children were unfortunately dragged into. CPS was involved, she got paperwork in right away " she was on time to court, she answered all of my questions day-night, even on the wee...kend! Nonie is very straightforward, Cutthroat, she does not play games, she will tell you that right away. So if you are hiring her oh, you are hiring her to step into a ring and fight basically. My situation was very Petty and quick, I have been represented by Laura at the same firm many years ago, for a custody case. I would go to this firm for the littlest things, to the most serious of thing's. They treat you like family, they treat you like a human being, they treat you like people..who have children, jobs, lives, bills. This firm knows what to do, you're not just a walking ATM, you are not disposable to them. They are not like other firms who just want your money, Nonie is like the mom and pop shop you take your vehicle to because you know it's going to get done, and you know it's going to be done right. Nonie is your Advocate, your voice!

Nonie helped me with a contempt case (she was not the lawyer I had with the custody case but I wish I knew about her then). She was very knowledgeable and made it clear what would and would not be helpful. She is very upfront yet personable and her office was great to work with as well. They were ver...y easy to get a hold of and helpful with any questions or concerns I had. I used her office recently for a expungement and they made it a breeze. I read so many awful stories about expungements that I decided not to go through the process myself and I am so glad I didn’t. Once I received my certificate of eligibility, the rest of the process was over in 3 months (including a notice stating it was removed). I will be going back for future issues that arise and would recommend to anyone in need.

Noni & Sharnae are amazing and made the process painless. The entire staff was easy to deal with and they communicate in a timely and efficient manner. Noni really took the time to listen to the case and understand the details of the situation. Not only did she take the time to listen to the case, bu...t she also remembered the case and specific details that were important during the hearings. She is very confident in the court room, prepared and communicates well in court. She is very knowledgeable and does her research. We won twice! I would recommend her to everyone.
