About Steven
Biography
Mr. Skabelund is one of Utah’s premier estate planning attorneys. Over his 30 year career, he has served over 10,000 estate planning clients. His expertise has helped many families plan for what matters most. His services include drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other basic estate planning documents. He also has provided advanced asset protection services for many clients throughout the state of Utah. Some of these services include drafting and implementing asset protection trusts, forming limited liability companies (LLCs), creating irrevocable trusts, and other similar asset protection tools.
Elder law has always been one of Mr. Skabelund’s passions. As such, he has assisted hundreds of clients qualify for Medicaid assistance and has helped many veterans receive “aid and assistance” relating to their honorable military service. Furthermore, over the last several years, Mr. Skabelund has assisted hundreds of Utahns with regards to their real estate transactions.
In addition to practicing law, Mr. Skabelund has been involved in church and civic affairs. He has served as the president of the Orem Rotary Club, a member of the Utah State University Foundation, the Alpine School Foundation, and has served as a precinct chairman and a state delegate for his political party.
Steve is married to Vanette Skabelund and is a father of three children and many grandchildren.
