Kayla Hope Quam

Kayla is competent, kind and honest. What else could you ask for in a lawyer. If you read through her reviews they are almost all five stars for a reason. When I first saw all the five star reviews I thought they might be fake, but after working with Kayla I can tell you they are not. Kayla works inc...redibly hard and like many other people have mentioned she makes herself available. On average I probably only had to wait 2 to 3 days for a response. If it ever took longer it was because she was either in mediation or trial. Kayla even made time to talk to me over the phone when realistically we could have completed what we needed over email. If I remember correctly, 95% of Kayla's clients settle in mediation and my case settled in one mediation session. Had I hired any other lawyer I doubt that settling in one mediation session would have been possible. Working with Kayla was a very positive experience for me. Not only is she very easy to work with but she also is a very kind and carrying person. Divorce is such a stressful time and Kayla is very sensitive to your needs. She took the time to help comfort me and help me feel good about the decisions I was making. She is so competent that this comes easily and naturally for her. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better lawyer!

Kayla was excellent to work with. My divorce was a hectic time in my life and it felt like everything was a maelstrom of events, taking care of my kids, work, and emotions that, at the time, were all overbearing to deal with. Kayla gave me excellent consultation initially, and, after I got advice fro...m my inner circles, I chose to move forward with hiring her to handle my divorce case. She made things very easy. I could tell she listened and really seemed to get a feel for what I wanted out of the divorce along with being sympathetic and understanding toward what drove the divorce in the first place. She gave me solid advice on what to expect, what was reasonable, and what to do. Most importantly for me, she and her team were able to answer the ever-so-frequent question of "What do I have to do next". With everything going on, that simplified the divorce process for me to the point that I never had more than one to-do item at a time for this process. Fortunately, my case never went to court, but interacting with the Mediator, she was friendly and warm. She kept me in the loop toward what they had discussed and had great advice in each of our counter offers. I feel that appointment went as close to reasonably best-case-scenario for my divorce and I believe it was her expertise, knowledge of various options, etc. that led us to the conclusion we came to. Hiring Kayla to handle my divorce was such a great decision. There was a trove of knowledge and experience with which I could answer any number of my, what felt like stupid questions. She was clear and consise on all points of advice, but also on billing and how I would be charged for her time (and how to maximize that). I truly felt that Kayla was fighting for me in this case. Not for a client or a paycheck, but the me she got to know and work with. I am mot sure 4000 characters will be enough to put into words the positives Kayla Quam posesses and exemplifies but I will do my best! Divorce is messy and you hope it will be an end to your issues but sometimes it unfortunately isn't. The situation that Kayla helped us with was a post divorce si...tuation and mediation. I wish Kayla was an attorney when I was originally getting divorced I feel it would have gone much differently for me and my children. Kayla is not only so knowledgeable for a young attorney, but she is also so kind and sensitive with these hard situations that no one wants or thinks they will ever be involved in. It isn't easy having someone see and hear the worst parts of your life. Her personality is very therapeutic, calming and reassuring which is HUGE! When sharing such intimate personal issues and situations. Eveything she did for us was done timely and her quick responses to emails and phone calls when needed put our minds at ease with any questions or concerns we had, and we had many. She is so personable, caring, intuitive, quick witted, observant to people and what they say. She truly cares about who she represents and you don't just see it but you feel it. She is great at multi tasking as she jots down notes while listening to any and all isues you share while running through her knowledge of the law through her mind and how it will help your case and situation. Her actions show her character, carissma, passion and drive for what she does. You can see how much she loves helping people. It takes a very special and passionate individual to not only be very thorough doing their job and what they are being paid to do, as well as being able to have so much empathy for everything you'redealing with. Kayla's abilities in writing are exemplary. She excels in taking all of the most important facts and points given in the situation to paint a picture of the issues at hand which is very helpful to any judge or mediator as well as you. You need an artist so other's can see what you have been through and are going through and she paints with her words. She is incredibly detail oriented with all of the paperwork as well. We felt she was great with her time management too, It is easy to get carried away with chaos and emotions of everything going on and we felt she took great care with her time and ours. I feel this is important! time is money and we didn't feel that our money or time was being wasted by her in any way. When some of our situation went into criminal law she even did everything possible to help us with the outcome of this as well. She is honest, professional and and has so much integrity that when the part of our situation went past her knowledge of criminal law she referred us to another amazing attorney to help us with that matter which was HUGE! again for our situation. You are who you place yourself around and If she doesn't know something she figures it out. She consults with other attorneys and situations they have experienced with law, mediators and judges to get the very best out come for you. The way she treats her staff was also impressive. Her staff was also amazing as well and I can't speak highly enough about those awesome women. We are beyond impressed with everything Kayla has done for us and helped us with. While we hope we will never have issues again, we know that if we do that we will be taken care of to the fullest extent. I wouldn't want any other lawyer in my corner. Kayla will continue to go far in family law and any future endeavours she goes after. If you are able and lucky enough to have her be your lawyer she will make your hard situation feel like you are walking over a hill rather than climbing a mountain at a 90 degree incline. Kayla was an answer to our prayers and we are beyond grateful we were referred to her.

Kayla constantly kept me in the loop with everything. I never had to wonder what the status was, what to do next, etc. I knew every step of the way exactly what was going on at all times and/or what was required of me. She knows her stuff! I had a 16 year marriage full of emotional abuse and fina...ncial control. I was in the complete dark with the finances. I was a stay-at-home-mom the entire marriage. I didn't even know where to start. She got me what was fair so my 5 children and I could survive and to help me get back on my feet with school. I couldn't have done it without her. A couple of my friends are STILL fighting in their divorces. I started the process long after they started and finalized long before they were even close to being finished (and they still aren't). I filed January 4th and it was finalized September 5th. (8 months and 1 day until the judge signed making the divorce official). It would have gone much faster but the other party dragged their feet with turning in financial documents. This required me to hire an additional financial investigator whom Kayla recommended named Cory Kennedy. He also did an amazing job. Both were worth every penny! We had an 18-hour mediation. I didn't get home until 3am. Kayla (and Cory) pressed on and continued to fight with me the whole time, never suggesting to set up another mediation. Kayla didn't want me to pay for mediation (or Cory's expenses) twice. She is very conscience of not overcharging her clients. Total rock star. I have recommended her to everyone. She's this tiny little thing. You would never guess she's an attorney. She doesn't yell, over-exaggerate, or feed off of her clients emotions. She is calm, collected, mature, professional, and just matter-of-fact. She keeps the situation under control. I am not saying she doesn't have compassion, because she definitely does (she made sure I had plenty of tissues at hand)...she just has this way of calming you down, letting you know it will all be ok, and then you proceed just knowing you are in the hands of someone who truly knows what she is doing. I can't recommend her enough. She's amazing. She was meant to be an attorney hands down. Highly recommend. You won't be sorry!
