New Beginning

This is my second review. I have tried to deal with my back taxes with bankruptcy and payment plans. Nothing worked. Attorney Wilcox made an incredible deal with the IRS. I'm forever grateful. I have had issues but Attorney Wilcox and his staff worked with me and have been professional and respectf...ul. I'm 78 and can now sleep better and not leave my children with a lot of debt. Thank you.

$1,000 / hour is too steep!

Although everyone was nice enough, and I can't say they didn't have some conversations with the IRS, those conversations didn't result financially in anything, that I could tell, that wouldn't have been achieved had we submitted our own paperwork. We were foolish in allowing ourselves to be backed i...nto a corner with the IRS. Our resultant panic over a pending deadline led us to JW. In my wildest imagination, since there was no accounting to us of the time invested in our "case", I couldn't imagine time spent in our behalf being more than five to six hours total. That's a minimum of $1,000/hr. We signed the Contract; they relayed our information to the case-worker at the IRS, and we signed an agreement with to IRS requiring total payment of our original liability with interest and penalties over the next eight years, I was an informed consumer that reacted to a self-created circumstance, and I think what I got from the Firm was simply some piece of mind. It was very expensive, but, hey,..whatever the market will bear. Right? No breach of contract exists.

Please understand we appreciate the feedback, and would love to be able to respond directly with an hourly accounting, however, We do not have any pending offline requests for an accounting from an identifiable client. IRS battles are by definition without a defined outcome, and we do not promise a defined outcome. Rather, we address the case on an individual, case by case basis. I can assure anyone reading this that a case with my office is open anywhere from 3-13 months, and throughout that process, the case is worked on regularly and reviewed on a weekly basis. We do not promise a defined outcome. In a legal battle, there can be no promises made, and there is absolute uncertainty. Hence, the battle. Collection alternatives are based off a taxpayers ability to pay. If someone comes to our office with a clear and present ability to pay, we cannot demonstrate hardship, and therefore will face inherent challenges in settling for anything less than the full amount owed. In certain cases, our focus necessarily shifts from a settlement focus to asset preservation and lifestyle preservation focus. This is described in the consultation process, and there are no false promises otherwise communicated. We operate on a fixed fee, not an hourly rate. This is appreciated by most people, because with most law firms you are billed by the telephone call, by the email, or by the minute. With our offices, the guesswork is removed, and clients appreciate the flat fee approach, as there is no clock ticking against them, and they do not have to be afraid to contact our office to address case strategy or concerns.

Peace of Mind

My husband and I participated in a consultation with Jordan Wilcox. We found him to be extremely knowledgeable, honest, fair, and he was able to bring peace of mind to us concerning our tax dilemma. We will encourage anyone with a tax dilemma to visit with him and also encourage those needing leg...al help to hire him. Thanks Jordan!

Helped me

I had a consultation with Jordan Wilcox in regards to my past IRS debt problems. He gave me an hour of his time and was so honest and direct with my approach on the situation and told me that I was already doing what he could do for me. I appreciate the honesty and time he spent with me. There are... so many attorneys that would just take your money and not give you the time of day. I highly recommend him.

Five stars seems cliché ...but accurate!

I reached out to Jordan Wilcox's office due to the unique set of circumstances with the IRS. Within a few short days I found myself sitting in front of him sharing my story. During my process of resolving IRS concerns, the staff contacted me, informed me, and include me in each step. I always felt l...ike I knew where I stood. When it came time to negotiate the final settlement with the IRS Mr. Wilcox and his staff went to war for me. I was able to settle for next to nothing compared to what I owed. I would recommend this service above others that you may investigate.
