I am one of only 3 certified elder law attorneys in Utah through the National Elder Law Foundation. I run a full service elder law firm called The ElderCare Law Firm. I am a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) where I serve nationally in several positions. On a personal note, I am married and have 4 sons and 1 daughter ranging in ages 20-31 years, and three grandchildren with twins on the way.

Eric reviewed and heped us update the family trust which was 20 years outdated. He gave counsel when the dynamics of our family changed and gave guidelines for us to better serve our parents, our children and grandchildren. There is a feeling of safety and comfort knowing we are guided & protected ...
"Eric is a knowledgeable, thoughtful and experienced attorney who truly cares about his clients and his colleagues!"
"I highly recommend Eric Barnes as an outstanding elder law attorney. He is one of only a few attorneys in the state of Utah that have obtained the Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) designation from the National Elder Law Foundation. This is not an easy honor to obtain or maintain. I have served with Eric as an officer in the Utah Bar Elder Law Section where he consistently brought very thoughtful and valuable insights to the issues being discussed and shared with the members of the section. I've also served as opposing counsel in a guardianship matter where I was impressed by his preparation and thoroughness in his representation of his client. I regularly refer clients who need an excellent elder law attorney to Eric. His fees are worth every penny for the advice that he can provide to families in need of his expertise. I endorse Eric without hesitation."
"Eric is one of the top Elder law attorneys in Utah. He is thoughtful, and careful. Eric has great concern for his Clients. I have appreciated every opportunity to work with Eric."
