Great professional

Emy Cordano took on my divorce case with absolute honesty and seriousness. The outcome went above my expectations and I couldn't be more thankful for the way she handled my case. Your first great decision if facing a divorce will be contacting her.

Emy Cordano - Paternity Case

In September 2016 I was served with a paternity order in which would take 50% of my time with my son away from me, make me pay child support when I had never received child support and degraded me as the mother I am to my son. I was able to get in to Emy as soon as possible and she took my case on. I... always knew what was going on with my case and even when I would get impatient she reminded me why I hired her and what would be reasonable to expect. Paternity cases are tricky and I never felt like Emy didn't have my side. In fact, she believed I deserved more than I thought myself. I would reccomment Emy to anyone looking for an honest, upfront attorney to take on your case.

Focused, and Attentive.

Immediately I noticed that Emy was very focused on my case and very attentive to the details. I chose Emy because she only works in family law. Initially I was very reluctant to hire any attorney at all. I'm not experienced in matters of the court, and didn't really know what to look for in legal hel...p. My concerns were swiftly left behind when I witnessed how hard Emy worked, how experienced she is, her focus, and her professionalism. Emy gave us the black and white truth in regards to the issues at hand. Emy provided us with complete knowledge as to where we were in the process, and insisted on my approval every step of the way in our strategy and legal document submission. Emy is a private attorney, and we actually appreciated this. She doesn't work for a big fancy law firm downtown, and doesn't have a balcony office on the 18th floor, but due to the fact that she is private she also has much more freedom to be herself than associated attorney. If I could sum up Emy in one word it would be this: "Warrior." If I were an attorney I would not want to see her name on the oppositions paperwork.

A Fantastic Person more than just a Fantastic Attorney

Maybe Emy is the best because she has a perspective from several countries. I was fascinated to know Emy is from south africa, where she saw injustice in families daily. I am just a local woman, never been anywhere other than mexico on vacation or to North Carolina to see my ex-husbands family on a t...rip so as you can imagine, I haven't seen much hardship here in Utah. I think because of that I didn't know who to turn to, my bishop advised I stay married, so I did for a number of years, unhappily. My ex-husband was mentally abusive, you don't know just how bad it is until you can't leave the house without anxiety and you always doubt yourself and feel terribly about who you are, you hate your reflection. I spoke with Emy and she set me on the path to rediscovering myself. I was able to file divorce and she helped me when my bishop tried to advise me against it. I am still an active member of the church, but I came close to the edge and without Emy holding my hand through the entire ordeal, I may have caved. Emy helped file, finalize and come out a better person from my divorce. I have a home, and can finally get back to finishing my degree and getting a job, something my ex-husband wouldn't let me do. Thank you Emy for saving my life, truly. This isn't me being sappy, it is me being thankful knowing someone was in my corner, for me! Best wishes to you and yours always, Debby J.

Horrible!

Horrible!! She won’t answer your questions until the 5th email or call you give her and then charges you for every email she sent you without answering the question. Her pricing is ridiculous I spent over 6K in only 2 months and that is only attending one temporary child custody hearing. She will ac...tually question what she is saying during the court time and will not fight for what you want she will ask you pointless questions and then at the time of the hearing date will than ask if you have all that information written down because she doesn’t. She is not professional and will suck you dry with all your money. I made all the copies and extra work to keep extra charges down and she still charged me even after she said she wouldn’t. She says she is a beast in the court room......NOT!! She did nothing...I could have done a better job myself!!She lets the other attorneys walk all over her because it doesn’t matter to her if your 1 year old little girl gets taken away from her mother because she already got paid! The father had nothing agents me but since she decided to sit back and not fight for my rights as a mother half of my time was taken away!!A 1 year old little girl needs her mother, her father is very important yes but she had NEVER been apart from me for 24 hrs until the day EMY CORDANO did not fight for my rights!
