BEST LAWYER EVER I had dragged my feet for years on filing for a divorce, even though my husband and I had been separated for almost 5 years. The biggest reason I dreaded filing was the thought of having to find and work with a decent attorney. In my past experience, lawyers were cold and fa...irly careless, more concerned with payment than your actual case and feelings. I happened along Emy Cordano while searching the internet, and after reading multiple fantastic reviews, decided to take a gamble. I am and will be thankful every day for the rest of my life that I took that gamble!! Emy from the day I met her made me feel secure in her brilliance, capability, knowledge and skill to handle my divorce. But beyond her obvious intelligence and clear minded determination, she was more thorough than I ever dreamed an attorney could be. She left no question unasked, and she showed genuine concern for me and my situation. I left the initial consultation feeling excited and determined, as well as completely at ease and confident that she would handle everything as meticulously and efficiently as she had promised. From that day forward, there was never a disappointment, not even in the slightest, while working with her to draft and submit my divorce papers. She is not only a remarkably astute attorney, she is a genuine and down to earth woman, and was delightfully surprisingly enjoyable to work with. I never felt a single question went unanswered, no matter how silly or insignificant I may have felt asking it. She was always prompt and courteous, and I never doubted that I was a priority. The simple joy I found in knowing that I would never have to wait long for a response to any email or phone call was a wonderful feeling and experience. I also have to give credit to her amazing paralegal. If Emy happened to be unavailable (I know, lawyers have lives too!) her paralegal was adept and well informed, and I felt just as secure in working with and talking to her as I did with Emy. There was just never a moment that I had an iota of doubt in her capability in handling things in Emy's absence. If there were a rating scale of 1 to 10 I would give Emy a 12 overall. Narrowed down to every single aspect, there simply isn't a rating below a 10 to be given. I would highly recommend her to anyone, from strangers on the internet to my own best friends and family. She is a true gem, and while I hope I never have to file another divorce, she'd be the first person I would call!

In September 2016 I was served with a paternity order in which would take 50% of my time with my son away from me, make me pay child support when I had never received child support and degraded me as the mother I am to my son. I was able to get in to Emy as soon as possible and she took my case on. I... always knew what was going on with my case and even when I would get impatient she reminded me why I hired her and what would be reasonable to expect. Paternity cases are tricky and I never felt like Emy didn't have my side. In fact, she believed I deserved more than I thought myself. I would reccomment Emy to anyone looking for an honest, upfront attorney to take on your case.

Immediately I noticed that Emy was very focused on my case and very attentive to the details. I chose Emy because she only works in family law. Initially I was very reluctant to hire any attorney at all. I'm not experienced in matters of the court, and didn't really know what to look for in legal hel...p. My concerns were swiftly left behind when I witnessed how hard Emy worked, how experienced she is, her focus, and her professionalism. Emy gave us the black and white truth in regards to the issues at hand. Emy provided us with complete knowledge as to where we were in the process, and insisted on my approval every step of the way in our strategy and legal document submission. Emy is a private attorney, and we actually appreciated this. She doesn't work for a big fancy law firm downtown, and doesn't have a balcony office on the 18th floor, but due to the fact that she is private she also has much more freedom to be herself than associated attorney. If I could sum up Emy in one word it would be this: "Warrior." If I were an attorney I would not want to see her name on the oppositions paperwork.
