Katherine Elizabeth Merck

Katherine E. Merck, an attorney with Cusack Linscott Merck Law Firm, PLLC, holds a dual degree in finance and medieval studies from the University of Notre Dame and graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga University School of Law. While at Gonzaga, she focused on tax law, estate planning, and environmental law, and gained valuable practical experience with the Federal Tax Law Clinic. Katherine is an avid outdoorswoman who enjoys fly fishing, skiing, hiking, and horseback riding, and she co-founded the Gonzaga Rod & Gun Club to promote outdoor education. Following her tenure as Miss Rodeo America 2016, Katherine began her legal practice in Coeur d’Alene, working as a public defender and representing clients in a range of matters including environmental law and estate planning. Driven by a desire to support families and contribute to her community, Katherine focuses her practice on estate planning, probate, guardianship, and conservatorship. She is currently pursuing an LL.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center to better serve her clients’ needs.
