Attorney | Counselor | Mediator - Christopher R. Cook is licensed to practice in both Idaho and Colorado.
Christopher attended DePaul University College of Law where he graduated Cum Laude and obtained his Juris Doctorate. Prior to law school, Christopher earned his B.S.B.A in finance with an emphasis in international business from the University of Colorado Leeds School of Business.
At DePaul Law, Christopher’s course load included the core subjects required to earn his J.D., but also coursework meant to give him a greater understanding of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). During law school, Christopher was a research assistant to Professor Mark Weber, a nationally regarded scholar on disability rights and complex tort litigation. In addition, Christopher became a licensed mediator with the Chicago Center for Conflict Resolution.
Christopher is the owner of Christopher R. Cook, PLLC. Christopher focuses his practice on Family Law, Estate Planning, Collaborative Law, and Mediation.
Christopher was previously with Fourth Street Law, PLLC and Martin D. Brown, PLLC as an associate attorney. There his practice focused on family/domestic law. Christopher's experience through his years of practice include litigation, dissolution/divorce, parenting time (custody), allocation of parental responsibilities, child support, common law marriage, adoption, post-decree proceedings/modifications, alternative dispute resolution, negotiation, settlement agreement, and appellate matters (COA).
Christopher also has experience with office management and systems as well as client development and analytics.
Christopher is an active member of various bar associations and volunteers his time for pro-bono legal organizations such as Idaho Volunteer Lawyers, Colorado Volunteer Lawyers, and Chicago Tenants Rights Organization.
Some other notable experience includes working as a translator for an Italian engineering firm, a statistics TA, and as an associate financial analyst.
Christopher is a Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and loves exploring the mountains, playing soccer, mountain biking, and traveling.
