Kurt Holzer

I was attacked and bitten by an aggressive dog while mountain biking. Kurt provided me guidance to navigate through the issue of dealing with the dogs owner. Kurt is very knowledgeable and presents himself in a professional manner. Much appreciated his insight.

Kurt Holzer Review

Right from the beginning of our time working together, Kurt was welcoming and efficient. He made sure that I knew everything that was going on in my case and explained each aspect of what he was doing. Kurt finished my case in a timely matter without avoiding going over any details. He was great to w...ork with.

Excellent service

Kurt Holzer was highly efficient and professional in assisting my son, a partially disabled veteran, with a pressing legal issue. On extremely short notice he stepped in and handled our matter. Moreover, he was very gracious and kind. He's a great example for the legal profession.

Bike versus car

While bike commuting to work a driver of an SUV ran a red light and hit me directly. Even with a helmet I sustained – among other things – a severe concussion. I was out – I wasn’t able to work, do basic day to day activities, recreate, anything. The impact from the car left me with a permeant disab...ility. After doing some research, consulting with others, and interviewing other firms, I hired Kurt Holtzer and his partner John Edwards to represent me. My situation was unique in the fact my occupation’s compensation and promotion scheme is extremely complicated. What impressed me about Holtzer and Edwards was their willingness to learn about my career to maximize a potential settlement, versus simply trying to settle quickly. They were patient in that fact, and in dealing with me as the client. I believe their willingness to be patient, knowledge of Idaho’s insurance systems and laws, and personal relationships led to the maximization of a settlement. My case took three years to settle and during that time the firm was instrumental in handling all my legal and insurance issues. I appreciated Holtzer and Edwards, in particular their different approaches. I’ll be honest, Holtzer will be brutally honest and won’t sugar coat anything. But that’s what I wanted. I hope to never need to hire a personal injury attorney again, but if I do, I’ll hire Holtzer and Edwards.

BEST IN IDAHO

I was involved in an accident in July of 2015. Kurt and his team did an amazing job getting everything that was owed to me and then some. Kurt operates in the upmost integrity and diligence. I strongly recommend reaching out to him.

"If you want to know about a lawyer, look at his online Resume at Avvo.com. Or the awards he has been given (like Trial lawyer of the Year), or the professional associations that he has chaired, joined, or worked for (like the state trial lawyers association), or the cases that he has won (especially when they hit that hard-to-get million dollar verdict like Kurt has done), or their publications and presentations to other lawyers on what the law is and how to use it. Of course you could also read any of the dozens of published answers Kurt has given to people at Avvo.com too. You do that and you will see what I see, and others do too. Kurt knows the law and knows the courtroom and he likes to win. If you need a personal injury attorney, that's exactly what you want. I highly recommend him to you."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
