I hired Charles Bauer to handle my divorce on the recommendation of a colleague who had been quite happy with him some time ago. While my ex-wife and I did not end up going to trial, we did have a few legal tussles along the way to a settlement. She, and her attorney(s), were fairly aggressive in dem...anding certain things from me -- in the form of money, custody of our son, and more generally, a settlement that suited her. Chuck was a good guide through these various exchanges. He acted as a voice of reason for me, when my inclination was to respond emotionally. The one time we did go to court (to deal with a couple of petitions filed by my ex), he did a great job. In the end, she and I settled. However, the post-settlement has been almost as tumultuous as the period between filing and settling, and Chuck has been just as effective in handling my responses to what seems to be a continuous stream of demands from my ex. I recommend him without reservation.

Mr. Bauer was very helpful in litigating a custody modification for me. His work was thorough, and he promptly responded to any questions I had about my case.
