I have known Nikeela for a couple of years now outside of the legal world. Last summer when I got into some minor trouble with the law I asked her to help me. I am so glad I did! It was not an area of law she specializes in, but she took the time to do things right, and got me a very favorable deal! ...I was just going to plead guilty, so glad I didn't! She communicated with me about all parts of the process and I could not have been happier with the outcome. I was involved in a child custody matter and wanted to attempt mediation with my ex. We attended mediation at the Idaho Mediation Center. Ms. Black was the mediator and she was very knowledgeable about family law. I felt she was unbiased and treated both sides fairly. I had some issues with a custody agreement. There were a lot of issues where things were filed incorrectly and what I was telling her wasn't being drafted onto the paperwork. I ended up switching lawyers. He was nearly double her rate and had to redo everything. I ended up owing a lot less with him ...in the long run. She's not to much of a go getter and their office charged for EVERYTHING while my more expensive and experienced lawyer's office did not. She might be ok for something simple, but not a complex custody case. This goes to show that you get what you pay for.. per hour anyways. This review isn't to bash. It is to help someone out that would be in the same situation that I was in. A single mother doesn't have thousands of dollars to throw away.
