Tessa dropped me as a client without telling me. I was given the explanation from her assistant that I made some comments on socail media. After much pressing it turns out my Ex-Wife made some post on her page and thanked her for dropping me. She also missed a court date causing my custody case to be... re-opened only 5 months after we closed. Again, no explanation, call email or text. I validate all of this with emails, phone calls and text messages.

I hired Tessa for a custody modification with my ex husband and then my current husband hired her to represent him in a nasty custody battle with his ex. It's been a long 2 years in court but Tessa got us more than we ever expected and we are so grateful! She charges far less than other attorneys of ...her caliber and is always returning my texts, there when we need her, etc. Worth every penny and then some, love her!!

I have tossed around the idea of leaving a review for quite some time. I hired Tessa as a divorce attorney in 2012. During this stressful time I needed someone on my side. I paid her retainer and put my trust in Tessa. -We missed a court date due to her lack of informing me of it. -I was charged ...for every call I made to her, even though the majority of the calls were to remind her of things she "forgot to complete" due to personal/family issues. -She was texting during a hearing. Her attire for that hearing was also questionable. -The custody agreement was not in the favor of myself nor my ex husband. It seems as though she had no idea what she was doing. -She charged hundreds of dollars over the retainer without mentioning the retainer fee had been reached. Again, by charging for phone calls where I was basically asking where we stood. As a single mother without a thing to my name, I believe she took advantage. I would never recommend this lawyer. She was unprofessional and seemingly a complete mess with her personal life (which she spoke about on numerous occasions rather than the issue I was paying her to handle). When she over charged me, I refused to pay. The debt was then sent to collections and I had to pay triple what never should have been charged to begin with. Very disappointed.

Tessa was a great attorney. We went into a custody battle with my husband's ex-wife trying to get joint legal custody with a son that was my husbands and a son that my husband had raised that was not his biological child. Tessa helped my husband to gain joint custody of both children and have the l...aw recognize that the youngest son was his. Because of her hard work we will never have to worry about losing the younger child like the threats previous to court. It just so happens that during the custody battle, the ex-wife also decided to commit a crime to try to throw my husband in jail showing that he had done things that he hadn't done. Tessa was patient and helped us not only through the child custody case but was a great help and support through the ex-wife's criminal case as well. She also fought to get our attorney fees repaid to us by the ex-wife. If it wasn't for Tessa's hard work and commitment to our case we wouldn't have our family complete and whole again. She is the reason there have been many happy memories made since this horrible ordeal. If you want an attorney that really cares on an individual level you should hire Tessa. She is great.
