Several months ago, I was fired from my job due to discrimination. I was also denied unemployment benefits. This has been one of the most trying, difficult and negative periods of time in my life. While seeking legal assistance for the discrimination charge, I was referred to Grant Lawson and his law firm. Grant and his paralegal Anita Schroeder made immediate contact with me. These two individuals have completely changed my very prejudiced view of the legal profession. I feel very blessed to work with Grant and his law office. He has gone out of his way to call me and to follow up with me on how both the unemployment claim and the discrimination charge are going. He absolutely exhibits and represents his philosophy of “paying it forward” and “doing the right thing”.
I consider it a privilege and a blessing to work with Grant, Anita, and now Julie the administrative staff. Grant fully believes and works hard for his clients to ensure that clients are treated fairly and that the law is upheld. He has gone out of his way in taking the time to point me in the right direction; guiding me in finding law applicable to my case and supporting me in reviewing and critiquing documents prior to submission to the labor board and the unemployment commission. After two unemployment benefit appeals; I was finally awarded my unemployment benefits – it did however take three months. Grant and Anita sent personal congratulatory e-mails and currently continue to provide legal consultation advice regarding the discrimination case, which may continue for a significant period. During conversations on the phone and in person, Grant and Anita have made the effort to get to know me as a person and not just as another case or client.
I highly recommend Lawson Law firm to any individuals looking for an attorney who will do what is right, uphold the law, and fight for persons like myself who are not knowledgeable of the law and who are overwhelmed, frustrated, unsure where to turn. Again, I count myself blessed that I was referred to Lawson Law Firm. Thank you, Grant, Anita, and Julie.
