Easy to work with

I retained Jim to represent my son regarding a matter in CO and I was living in NY. Jim made it very easy to work with given the time difference, he shared his cell number and returned calls and e-mails promptly. He handled the case professionally and was compassionate and caring.

BEST attorney in Avon/Vail

If you or a loved one is needing legal advice STOP right now, hire Jim Little. I've often told Jim that he has skewed our perception of attorneys, he is one of a kind. He is intelligent, considerate, compassionate and Jim is VERY fair regarding his legal fees, honestly he does not charge enough for... his services. Our journey started 15 months ago when our son was involved in 3 separate, very serious legal scenarios over a 12 mos time frame. Jim was always upfront about the seriousness of the charges and what we might expect. He is very respected in the Eagle County Courthouse and amongst his peers, that in itself is worth it's weight in gold. Jim has such a HUGE heart, he honestly cares about his clients and pulls out all the stops to get them the best possible outcome. Our son turned out to have a serious drug addiction, he was originally charged with 14 felony charges, Jim was able to get that reduced to 2 felony charges in one county and a misdemeanor charge in another county. He even drove down to Denver to represent our son in his Arapahoe County charge. Our son should have been given at least 4 months jail time, he saw ZERO. My husband and I live in another state over 12 hours away, we had not seen our son in over 6 months, we had no idea how badly he had deteriorated due to his drug use. Jim reached out to us to tell us what to expect in an upcoming visit with our son because Jim was concerned and did not want us to be shocked by his daunt appearance. Jim gives you his cell phone #, he is not an 8-5 attorney whatsoever! I consider Jim a personal friend at this point, I don't think you can say that about many attorneys you work with.

Excellent attorney - exceeded our expectations

I'm an Ob/Gyn physician in Georgia, and I know what true professionalism looks like - exceeding expectations - true excellence in service, and James Little distinguishes himself in each of those areas and more. My 23 year old son was working in Avon, Colorado for a year at a luxury hotel and excelled... in his profession in that environment. Unfortunately, he was driving home at 2:00 AM in a snow storm and hit a pedestrian wandering on the wrong side of the road. My son made a terrible foolish decision and did not stop. The local detectives vigorously pursued the case, and nine months later my son was arrested for his crime. Thank God, the pedestrian survived his serious injuries (including a broken femur) and eventually had a full recovery. We were devastated and desperate. We initially got an attorney off the internet, and the price was high, but at least we were making some progress and had the benefit of a private attorney. There were several charges, including attempted first degree murder due to a technicality of Colorado law, and we were potentially looking at up to 25 years in the state penitentiary. My wife and I were in melt down mode and helpless over 1400 miles away. We heard about Jim Little who has an excellent reputation for truly caring about his clients and goes way above and beyond the call of duty to do everything in his power and expertise to help his clients AND their families. I gave Jim a call, and he very graciously agreed to take our case in "midstream", and his fees were EXTREMELY reasonable. I could spend several pages describing how Jim Little personifies the virtues of an excellent defense attorney. He visited my son in jail on multiple occasions "just to drop in" and make sure he was okay. This was our first and only encounter with the criminal legal system, and we were all clueless and completely out of our element. Jim was always just a phone call away (he gave us his personal cell phone number) and always informative and encouraging, but also realistic every step of the way. He did not trivialize the seriousness of my son's crime, but he did his absolute best to achieve the best outcome possible for the "Georgia boy" who was at the wrong place at the wrong time in the snowy mountains of Colorado and made a really bad decision one night of his life. The end result was unbelievable. My son's charges were dropped from an F-2 felony to an F-4 felony, and by the mercy of God and the mercy of the court he was sentenced to 330 days in the Eagle County Detention Center. That is a far cry from 25 years in the state pen. I have told Jim Little to send me a statement for his additional services multiple times, and he has never accepted any further payment beyond the initial charge to accept the case. My son returned home to Georgia on July 1st, 2015 to serve 5 years of probation, and I can never thank Jim Little enough for his expertise and compassion in this devastating time of our lives.

Look no further, this is the guy you need!

James helped me get through my not so great legal situation. He has more than plenty of knowledge in his field, which helped relieve a lot of the stress. All of my questions were answered, he kept me updated and most important of all, he made me feel comfortable working with him. I had no doubt that ...I would be successful in my case with James representing me. I highly recommend James and I know that if I ever found myself in trouble again, I wouldn't hesitate to give him a call.

DUI Defense

Jim, I really appreciate all of your hard work and diligence. After carefully reviewing my case and the video footage, Jim was able to see that the Police officer who pulled me over was in the wrong, leading to a full Dismissal of charges! He was a pleasure to work with and his communication with me... was always prompt and informative. I would absolutely recommend Jim, thank you for all of your hard work.
