The mother of my child absconded with my daughter to California and never returned. We had no custody order in place and (to my dismay) I learned this form of parental kidnapping ...was NOT illegal. The mother was also (falsely) claiming that I was a domestic abuser, so I knew I needed GREAT legal representation if I was going to have a shot at getting my daughter back! Drew was able to effectively demonstrate to the courts, the abuse allegations were clearly false. Additionally, Drew was able to put together an effective, winning strategy--and ultimately, I was granted “custodial parent.” As the ‘Father’, this can be a tall order for a court to grant. . . . Drew is professional, and does an effective job of making his points in the courtroom, without coming across as a bully. During our meetings, Drew came across as fairly relaxed and laid-back. To be honest, I was worried that dealing with my extremely adversarial ex-husband would require a more aggressive approach than Drew was going to deliver. His trial preparation is exceptional, and as a result he was very well pr...epared for the hearing. During the hearing, he balanced an aggressive style with a more collaborative approach as needed. While he wasn't afraid to "fight" when appropriate, he also remained focused on the best-interests of the child. I really felt it wasn't about the "win" for him; he seemed to care more about the right outcome for my child. We did get exactly what we were requesting, and Drew seemed to be as happy about it as I was. I'm very satisfied with his representation and would highly recommend him moving forward.
