Biography
With more than ten years in private practice, Matthew Patton has built a reputation for thoughtful, aggressive advocacy as the head of one of Robinson & Henry’s Family Law Teams. His journey began as a Division Clerk in Douglas County and as a Deputy Sheriff in Larimer County, where he gained firsthand exposure to criminal investigations and courtroom procedure. As District Attorney for the 18th Judicial District, he refined his litigation skills by prosecuting both misdemeanors and felonies and handling hundreds of trials and motions. Today, Matthew applies those insights to complex family law and criminal defense cases, crafting strategies that balance fierce representation with client-centered communication. Whether negotiating settlements, guiding mediation, or presenting cases before a judge and jury, he tailors his approach to each client’s unique circumstances.
