Ezra Michael Hurwitz

Ezra Hurwitz is a zealous advocate for his clients in all areas of family law.  Ezra left Active Duty in the US Army JAG Corps, after nearly ten years, to pursue his passion to help families in the Colorado Springs area through the challenging process that is divorce and family law.  He has extensive trial and negotiation experience as a former Military Prosecutor and Defense Attorney.  Ezra’s reputation for dedication and service to his clients is second to none.

Ezra spent the majority of his time on Active duty stationed in and around Colorado Springs, and he is currently a member of the Colorado National Guard.  This vast experience has afforded him unique a perspective, not only to the challenges facing military families dealing with divorce or parenting issues, but more specifically, to the way the local courts and child family services interact with members of the military.

In addition to serving as a military prosecutor and defense attorney, his assignments also included Legal Assistance Attorney; Special Assistant US Attorney; Administrative Law Attorney/Ethics Counselor; Brigade Judge Advocate; Military Magistrate; Deputy Chief Administrative Law; and Chief Operational Law.  This, broad array of assignments, and diverse caseload, helped hone his advocacy, litigation, communication, research, analytical writing, and editing skills. 

Ezra is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the El Paso County Bar Association, and the Georgia Bar Association (in addition to being licensed in Colorado he is also licensed in Georgia). Currently he is the Chair of the local Family Law Sector in El Paso County. 

Ezra is a graduate of the Valparaiso University School of Law.  He also received his Masters in International Commerce and Policy from Valparaiso University, and received his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Georgia, GO DAWGS!!!
