Great experience

I hired Ron Kingsford to help me with a felony theft charge. He went above and beyond my expectations and was able to negotiate an amazing deal for me with the DA. His office was easy to work with and happy to make sure I understood every thing to expect each step along the way.

I recommend staying away from his services entirely.

I am writing this review to present my opinion of the services provided by Ron A. Kingsford. I found his work on my behalf not only unsatisfactory, but also unacceptable. I was looking for a representation for a protection / restraining order case in Weld county, because the nature of the case was ...not simple. When I talked to Ron A. Kingsford he seemed to be knowledgeable, open, and attentive. However, as soon as I paid him my retainer, I felt like he wanted me to do his job for him. In particular, he wanted me to go find the plaintiff’s place of residence. The temporary restraining order which had already been issued indicated I should not have any contact with accuser. So my investigating of plaintiff’s place of residence could put me in additional legal jeopardy. The consequences I was trying to avoid. Then when I asked him what we need to do to prepare for the hearing. His answer was that we will be alright. After that time, it became difficult to get hold of him up until the hearing date. When the time came for the court hearing, he was not prepared what so ever. It looked like he thought that he would walk in to the courtroom and win the case effortlessly. Nevertheless, the reality was opposite. After the hearing ended, on the way to out of the court building in hallway, he shared with me that we lost the case because the judge was female and did the ruling based on hate to the male kind. When I asked him what could be done to reverse the court’s decision, his answer was that I could hire him again to appeal the judge’s decision. I asked him for my money back. He said that in his opinion he did a great job. When I repeated my request that I want my retainer back, he shouted several times loudly at me that I needed to calm down, as if I was about to offend him. In the conclusion: I would not recommend Mr. Kingsford to anyone. Based on the service he provided me I would have less legal troubles. Actually, I recommend staying away from his services entirely.

Family and Child Custody - not what I expected

I was looking for representation in a family matter that was meant to protect my rights and to assist in keeping my custody of my children. Mr. Kingsford seemed to be a lawyer to help me to do this. The Court was meant to just clarify Child Support, Visits, and the small things such as reporting scho...ol information and having access to records. First Court shows up and is basically preliminary, the second one also goes about the same. During this time I had wanted to speak to him regarding some details beyond our initial meeting when I hired him. I never could reach him and I was always left leaving messages for him to return my call. When we did talk it was brief and none of the items I hired him for were being addressed or getting a clear plan from Mr. Kingsford or his office. Then came when he took over 2 weeks to return my call with excuses saying he never recieved any of my original messages and was returning the last message that I had left over a week ago. I burned through about half of the money I had given him as a retainer and nothing was done. It was a clear waste of money, time, and only set myself back hiring Mr. Kingsford. I do admit in the begining he was all ears and that he could represent me and what I was looking to do in my case regarding the custody and details for my children. But I felt that after the money exchanged hands he became unavailable to consult with me. I would not recommend Mr. Kingsford to anyone.

No compassion for anyone's situation

You can never get a hold of him. When I first met with him he seemed open and attentive but as soon as I have him my retainer it was like he hardly worked. Took days to return phone calls and emails. He was supposed to have some EXTREMELY time sensitive paperwork to my husband, who's overseas in the ...army, last week. It's due tomorrow and still don't have anything. He gives lofty promises yet when you ask about them he tells you how unrealistic they are and you'll have to settle. He has no sense of urgency in his work and acts like he doesn't give a crap. I begged him to get us the paperwork sooner rather than later so my husband would have time to sign and return from the Middle East. No such luck. He has no compassion for those in the armed services working over seas.
