Truly the best!

Katie and the team at Tolison & Williams represented me in a modification of custody case (years after divorce), that expanded into a fight over decision making rights, child support (including the need to impute the other sides income), the use of a Parental Responsibility Evaluator, a full day tria...l and more. She guided me through significant challenges related to the other side's over litigation of the case to include responding to and resolving an unnecessary forthwith motion, responding to and managing through the unnecessary issuance of discovery, managing and responding to an unnecessary records subpoenas, and strategically managing the generally aggressive litigation approach. Katie developed clear and concise strategies on how to approach every aspect of the case, how to respond to the actions of and motions filled by opposing counsel and provided great advice and support during the nearly year-long battle. This ensured that not only were we well prepared, but that I was never surprised by what was happening in the case. In the end, Katie secured my time with my child (increase to 50/50), preserved my involvement in his life through maintaining joint-decision making rights, successfully showed underemployment of his other parent, helped preserve my financial ability to provide for my son and the rest of my family, and disproved most of the other sides attacks, accusations, and claims. She has shown herself to a be a true professional, advocate, and expert. She achieved no less than 100% of what we sought going into trial and delivered exceptional results. In addition to her performance as a lawyer, she showed me great empathy during an emotionally charged time as we went through this process. Not only did this help her guide me through this time, but it also built a strong trusting bond that made this process easier to work through. I would recommend anyone who is seeking help with custody issues, decision making rights, protection of financial means to support a family, or any other domestic relations matter, reach out to Katie....I do not believe you will find better.

Great help with navigating through the legal process of bringing my son back into my life

Katie was referred to me from a co-worker to help bring two parties together (myself and my sons mother) for the betterment of our child. She was very knowledgeable on what needed to be done on my behalf while being very caring during the whole process. In the end she actually went out of her while... busy on a family gathering to be in contact with me and other attorney throughout the day to finalize agreement so I would be able to see my son much sooner then what would have ended up being another month plus because of my work issues. I highly recommend Katie and was very pleased with her guidance during this entire time. Thank you!

Game changer!

Katie(Kathryn) was handling my brothers custody case, and a short time into it I began to have major problems with my child mother. My brother recommended Katie so I called her and went in for a consultation. I was a stressed out absolute mess because of what was going on and Katie IMMEDIATELY made m...e feel so much more at ease! I knew I was in good hands! She is a very mellow very personable woman, but has a confidence and demeanor that let's you know she isnt about to lose anything when it comes to your case. I went from on the verge of losing my mind to knowing everything was going to be ok in one meeting with her! Anyone going through a bad custody case and dealing with all of it knows it is by far one of the toughest things an individual will ever go through. I cant Express enough how much your life and stress level will change when you speak with Katie. Such a nice lady, but an absolute pit bull when it comes to her job. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Katie, couldnt have done it without you!!

Amazing

Kathryn was my attorney for my recent divorce. I thought I could do it by myself but my mediator recommended I get an attorney. I was hesitant at first but as soon as I met Kathryn I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. The overwhelming sense of ease that she gives out was so refreshi...ng. I was not dealing with some hard headed disconnected lawyer, I was dealing with someone who actually cared. Although compassionate she was also extremely professional and knew exactly how to get what I ultimately needed to be able to move on. I cannot recommend Kathryn enough, she is truly amazing.
