I started my divorce case on my own trying to save the expense of an attorney and ended up in way over my head. After consulting with several attorneys I hired Katie and I am so glad I did. Katie helped me navigate the very complicated legal system and made sure I didn't get taken advantage of. When ...things didn't make sense to me she took the time to explain them in a way that I could understand. Every time I was frustrated or angry Katie would listen and was very supportive. She understood my feelings and helped me get back to a place where I was ready to move forward and deal with whatever issue had come up. Katie not only explained the laws to me but referenced them in negotiations with my ex and statements to the court to ensure that the outcome of my case was fair and in keeping with the law. Finding yourself in a position to need a family law attorney is hard enough and picking the right one is terrifying and overwhelming. I really didn't want to have to hire an attorney however I now wish I had hired Katie from the beginning; she was worth every penny!

I dealt with a pretty difficult divorce and child custody case. Katie was a great source of comfort and in my opinion very level headed and concise in how she handled my case. I did not always agree with Katie but she did listen to my concerns and always had a clear vision for how she wanted to proce...ed. Overall her instinct was right on track. I am thankful for her hard work and how she helped protect my sons and I from a bad situation.

Katie and her staff did an excellent job in helping with the Allocation of Parental Responsibilities of my case. This case was not easy and there was a lot of back and fourth between the other party and I. Ultimately we were able to come to terms without going to trail thus saving me from additio...nal costs. Cindy ( Katie's Assistant ) was very responsive and patient with me as I didn't always get necessary documents to her in a timely manner and ( Zach ( Katie's Colleague ) was also very helpful in the trial preparation. The team was also able to help with "on the fly" requests when temporary parenting time orders were not followed and on multiple occasions Katie reached out Via text message and telephone calls outside of business to make sure the exchanges when well in the early stages of the temporary plan. Though we worked through the pandemic and they never got to meet my Vida face to face, they we able to connect through the pictures I provided and our willingness to fight together for our time. I would highly recommend Katie and her team for anyone going though a family litigation case.

Kathryn Tolison is such a wonderful and kind person. She worked with me on my Divorce/Legal Separation case. Her paralegal, Cindy Schell also worked on my case as well. She is great and kind, as well. Both Kathryn and Cindy stayed in touch with me to let me know how my case was going, to give advise ...and to walk my through the entire process. Katie and the team at Tolison & Williams represented me in a modification of custody case (years after divorce), that expanded into a fight over decision making rights, child support (including the need to impute the other sides income), the use of a Parental Responsibility Evaluator, a full day tria...l and more. She guided me through significant challenges related to the other side's over litigation of the case to include responding to and resolving an unnecessary forthwith motion, responding to and managing through the unnecessary issuance of discovery, managing and responding to an unnecessary records subpoenas, and strategically managing the generally aggressive litigation approach.
