Condescending & Rude

Ron Salas is an extremely condescending, rude, and unprofessional lawyer. Rather than having any compassion for his perspective client, he immediately was mean, rude, condescending and taking the oppositions side before I could finish my story and give all necessary details. He had no interest in hea...ring my story, or the challenges that I was facing. It was clear to me that he has no empathy, and wanted to immediately rush me into an unfavorable settlement rather than trying to actually represent his possible client. I would not recommend Ron Salas to anyone under any circumstance.

I am sorry to hear about your experience. I regret that you did not feel heard or supported during your consultation. I want to be upfront about my approach. Breach of Client-Attourney Confidentiality

I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND this firm. **Edit** After I expressed my concern with his firm, Ron Salas dismissed my wife and I as clients over email due to my "tone". the email I wrote is the review below almost verbatim (I changed the pronouns). **Edit** Documents and information intended ...for me were sent to someone else instead. I understand mistakes happen but in this instance we are dealing with highly sensitive, highly personal documents pertaining to an extremely emotional subject. Double checking email addresses seems like a small thing to ask. Perhaps The Salas Law Firm takes divorce lightly because it is just another day in the office, but for ME, it's a living nightmare, an utter embarrassment, and a complete catastrophe. And they have compounded all that by giving me a new nightmare to contemplate, embarrassing me further, and complicating an already insufferable process. So, I would like to register my EXTREME disappointment with this practice. Not only did I never receive the documents promised, but I had to find out from my soon to be ex-wife that documents containing my personal information and details of our divorce were sent to some random person. Supposedly this person sent them screenshots of the "unread" email and the empty inbox after he deleted the email. But anyone with a gmail account can open an email, download the contents, and mark it unread in 3 mouse-clicks. It seems to me that this breach of privacy may also constitute a breach in attorney-client confidentiality, which is extremely concerning.

Do Not Recommend

He doesn’t care at all and is not a good lawyer. He will settle for anything. Don’t get me wrong, he talks REAL tough on the phone the first time you talk to him. Like he has his stuff together. He doesn’t. And that’s the last time you’ll talk to him til he doesn’t get you your money. You then get hi...s assistant who I forget his name but he’s completely lost. Screamed at me to get papers in I had given to him personally months before. The female lawyer my brother hired ate him alive. I would hire her. Definitely not Ron Salas.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with our services. However, we would like to address some of the statements you made in your review. We understand that legal matters can be complex and overwhelming, and we strive to provide clear and concise communication throughout the entire process. We would like to clarify that the information you originally provided regarding your case was not completely accurate, and the documentation you originally provided was insufficient to prove your position. Additionally, we would like to note that you had previously fired your prior attorney and hired us to take over your case. We understand that this can be a difficult transition, and we did our best to provide you with the highest level of service and professionalism with the information we had. Despite these challenges, we worked diligently on your case and provided you with the best possible representation. We would like to invite you to schedule a meeting with us to discuss your case further and address any concerns you may have. We value your feedback and are committed to continuously improving our services to better serve our clients.

Thanks but no

Tried to consult on a family case. He didn’t believe I had progressed my case as far as I had and argued with me on the validity of my paternity with my own child. He let me know he was not familiar with the six ways legal parents can be adjudicated in Colorado, and continued to argue with where my c...ase currently is. I left without finishing the consult and his receptionist tells me there’s a consult fee for his free consultation.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education

  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
