Emily Thayer

Emily graduated from CU Law in 2015 and specialized in Criminal Defense. While at CU LAW she was a memeber of the Spanish Speaking Law Student Group and the Co-President of the Transfer Student Group. She earned a Certificate in Health Law as well. 

For almost three years she was a Deputy Public Defender in Mesa County (Grand Junction) where she handeled all types of Criminal and Juvenille cases and trails from trespass to homicide. 

She later worked at Colorado Legal Services in Grand Junciton for another 2 years before moving back to the Front Range. While at CLS, she specialized in cases involving Domestic Violence, but also worked on record sealing, wills and estates and eviction law. 

Emily was honored to join the McKinley Law Group in 2022 and am able to merge all her skills.

She is an experienced and resillent negotiator and has extensive experience working with individuals and families affected by addition. Emily speaks Spanish

Emily se graduó de CU Law en 2015 y se especializó en Defensa Penal. Durante su estancia en CU LAW fue miembro del Grupo de Estudiantes de Derecho de Habla Hispana y Co-Presidenta del Grupo de Estudiantes de Transferencia. También obtuvo un Certificado en Derecho de la Salud.

Durante casi tres años fue Defensora Pública Adjunta en el Condado de Mesa (Grand Junction), donde se encargó de todo tipo de casos penales y juveniles, desde allanamiento de morada hasta homicidio.

Más tarde trabajó en Colorado Legal Services en Grand Junciton durante otros 2 años antes de regresar a la Front Range. Mientras que en CLS, se especializó en casos de violencia doméstica, pero también trabajó en el registro de sellado, testamentos y herencias y la ley de desalojo.
Emily tuvo el honor de unirse a McKinley Law Group en 2022 y soy capaz de combinar todas sus habilidades.
