Peter is a Colorado-licensed attorney and mediator who currently focuses his twenty-four years of legal experience into helping families navigate the process of legal relationship-transition, as an advocate, mediator, and advisor.
Admitted to practice in Washington State after graduating from University of Washington (Law Review) in 1991, Peter built a practice as a civil litigator in Seattle Washington with a reputation for clear, passionate and effective advocacy. In 2009, Peter obtained a Masters in Counseling from Seattle University, and has been at times a practicing therapist.
Peter serves on the board of the Boulder Interdisciplinary Committee, an educational group composed of attorneys and mental health practitioners working in the family law arena. He is also slated to be the next co-chair of the Boulder Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution section. He regularly volunteers his time to help indigent couples mediate their divorces through Boulder County Legal Services.
At the center of everything Peter does is a spiritual core formed from many years of practice and study, that informs his interactions and transactions. Peter's passion is mediation, but he is also deeply committed to conscious advocacy of individuals.

Peter Fabish and his partner, John Hoelle, helped me through a tough time during my divorce, and also through a personal injury settlement. My wife and I know Peter from some appellate work he did for us. I wish I would have met Peter a few years sooner. I have hired many attorneys in the past, and Peter has the highest level of integrity of any attorney I have ever hired. Peter also understands the human side of practicing law. For...
"Peter is a lawyer and a trained therapist with skills that are rare to find in an attorney. Unlike many lawyers who want to keep clients in drama, his goal is to help clients solve their issue with as much grace and growth as possible. I highly endorse his work. If you can have him as you're lawyer, you'd be very fortunate."
