Biography
I grew up in a middle class, hard-working family in Anchorage, Alaska, where I learned to camp, fish, ski, and enjoy the outdoors. I was raised to tell the truth, work hard and do your best - always. These character traits guide me to this day. I graduated in the top 10% of my class at East Anchorage High School in 1983, was a member of the National Honor Society, and was a multi year letterman in baseball, track, football, and speech and debate.
Seeking a warmer climate and a top notch education, I traveled south to Southern California to attend the Univerity of California, San Diego. In 1988, I graduated from UCSD with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Economics. I earned Departmental Honors in Political Science. I was a member and officer of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, played intercollegiate baseball and track, and participated in a variety of intramural sports. As a debate team champion in high school, I was disappointed when I learned there was no speech and debate club at UCSD. So, along with others, I started one. I was the sole student representative for the design and buildout of the UCSD Student Center, which remains a central building and student gathering place on the campus today.
After undergraduate, I attended the University of San Diego Law School and graduated in 1991 with a Juris Doctorate. I earned an American Jurisprudence Award in Trial Advocacy. I worked my way through law school as a law clerk with litigation firms in San Diego specializing in personal injury. After passing the California Bar exam in 1991, I joined a small, boutique business and litigation firm in La Jolla, California, where the senior partner selected me as the lead litigator after 6 months.
I moved to Boulder, Colorado in 1992 and started my own law firm, which is now the Tenge Law Firm, LLC. We have been in business for 18 years. I have always focused on personal injury, business and civil litigation and insurance. However, since 2006, we have limited our practice to litigation, with an emphasis on personal injury and insurance matters. We have earned a reputation as one of the premier personal injury and insurance law firms in Boulder County. Countless medical providers refer their patients to our Firm because they know they will be provided expert representation in a personal, individualized manner. Frankly, when a law firm does a great job for an injury client, it ensures that the medical providers get paid.
The Tenge Law Firm is a boutique injury litigation firm specializing in personal injury and insurance cases. It is all we do. Period. We provide aggressive, diligent and extremely thorough representation for injury victims and their families. Your case will be handled by me personally. TLF paralegals are highly qualified, experienced, thorough, and personable (otherwise, they would not be with the Tenge Law Firm).
We maintain a reasonable number of selective cases so we can provide the utmost attention to the details of every case, and take care of our clients personally. We don't advertise on television and we aren't running a personal injury "mill". Each case matters. We don't have the pressure to accept "low ball" setttlement offers in order to feed our ad budget. Most of our clients seek our help as a result of a personal referral.
The Tenge Law Firm uses innovation, knowlege and advanced technology to take on the insurance companies and obtain the just and fair compensation our clients deserve. We communicate effectively and regularly with our clients, and return emails and phone calls promptly. We enjoy helping injured folks.
When I'm not fighting the insurance companies and their "Evil Empire", I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife and 2 beautiful daughters, fly fishing, working out, cycling and playing guitar.
