Trevor John Willard

Trevor ("TJ") was not only an exceptional legal guide and confidant in the process of my case, he was incredibly pleasant and loving during the process. My initial charges had a mandatory sentence attached to it at the beginning of my case, as he worked with the District Attorney to drop that sentenc...e after ten months of diligence and patience. I was a wreck during my case and had never experienced anything so frightening in my life; I have absolutely no family in this state. Without TJ, I would have had a mandatory prison sentence and a terrible reality ahead. He pulled every possible option when it came to my questions such as, "What do we do next?" - "What haven't we done so far?". TJ always had options and always informed me of the worst case scenario so I was not shocked if things did not go well. He included every resource that we could use to humanize me to the court system and supported my family as well. He communicated with my uncle, Mom, Dad, and extended relatives to make sure everyone was up to speed. There was never a moment that he did not care for my well-being and sanity during the process. I wouldn't recommend anyone else but TJ to take good care of someone during a traumatizing legal situation, especially those facing criminal charges. He knows every single aspect of the legal system - he would even sit in the back of the courtroom with me and explain what the judge was saying for different cases that came before us so I could be better informed of that language. The most important aspect of his skill comes from knowing body language and temperament with each DA that he works with. My case had three different DA's and knew which one's were going to retire, leave the case, have a negative outlook, etc. This is incredibly useful in his position and goes a long way for his cases that he works on. He kept pushing until he couldn't push anymore with the DA and I saw that in every conversation we had. He referred me to an incredible psychologist who I still work with today. His offices are clean, nice, and his staff is fantastic including any polygraph or private investigator that he uses. You are the best, TJ. Thank you for saving my life.

Wasted valuable time and financial resources using Mr Willard. The end result was the very same if I had chosen to have a public defender represent me in my case. There are much better lawyers in Boulder for the money, I'm sure of it. Basically he just explains the worst possible outcome and doesn't ...even attempt to negotiate with the DA or build a defense. His demeanor completely changed once he was hired, I have learned a valuable lesson of getting what you pay for however in this case getting less than what you pay for..much less.
