I worked with Katie Goff on my divorce case, and was very pleased, both with the results and the cost effectiveness of her services. She is highly experienced, able to tackle a complex intercontinental divorce case, and has good working relationships with both the judge and the two attorneys we faced...--so important for getting a good settlement. Both tough and personable, she exemplified the respectful, professional qualities I was looking for in a divorce attorney.

I hired Katie based off of a Legal Shield referral. I was able to get a discount on the total retainer fee for my child custody case. She was able to make her fees back by charging for every single email to include the ones I asked her to stop corresponding with from my ex-husband. She was ill prepar...ed and even spelled my daughter's name wrong initially on a motion. I felt as though I was working harder than she was. I had just had a new baby and she continuously asked me for more paperwork and for information in separate emails (of which she charged me for each follow up). She was argumentative with me and she also knew that I was lower income on my military pay, but continued to charge me even after I fired her because I asked a question. She did absolutely nothing for me in my case aside from taught me a very expensive lesson on shopping around for lawyers who are sincerely compassionate about their client's heartaches. I'm a victim of domestic violence and I felt revictimized by her lack of empathy and by the dollar amount that was attached to every millisecond of her time.

I am writing to congratulate Kathryn J Goff of Boulder, Colorado on her professionalism and compassion in my individual situation. I find her to be a very open an honest individual who is looking out for the best interest of the child or children involved. She is a no "bull" if you will person. Sh...e is all about getting the job done in a fast but efficient manor. I came to her in the final hour realizing that I needed guidance and she was able to jump in with both feet and pursue with passion and persistence but ethical and positive attitude even during the holiday season. When I felt weak she was strong, when I felt angry she was my voice of reason. She was certainly a blessing in my life and I am so very grateful to have met and worked with her. I don't think I could have found a more generous and kind individual to guide me through this sensitive subject. Never once did I feel like I was simply just a $ sign to her rushing me through to get to the next number. Thank you so very, very much Kathryn for your help, support, honesty and kindness. I am blessed to know such a loving and kind individual.

Mrs. Goff reviewed my case and took the time to explain to me IN DETAIL what my options were, instructions for going forward and transparently advised my likelihood of success. Since the likelihood was not good, she in essence advised against hiring her. What attorney, especially in family matters,... would do that?!?! My past experience with attorneys was cold, uncaring and aimed at benefiting their finances over all else. I have the utmost respect for Mrs. Goff and HIGHLY recommend her.
