Joel does not represent his client’s best interests, he represents his own. He block bills you to hide time. If you're not familiar with this there is an article on lasthonestlawyer that warns you about this. "In fact, an arbitration advisory by the California State Bar states that block billing “hid...es accountability and may increase time by as much as 10% to 30%”. That’s no small potatoes." I asked for proof of my bill activity when things looked suspicious and Joel could not provide proof for many of the emails he claimed he sent/received in my case. Very shady.

I wish I could give a zero. His work is shoddy. He is unprofessional as a corporate attorney, yelling at co-counsel and acting like an arrogant know-it-all. He has been an unethical embarrassment in the way he represented our business, and I would urge you to find someone, anyone else to represent ...you. Simply an awful person and attorney.

Joel has worked on at least a dozen matters for me and my related companies since 2001. All handled with the care and diligence that allows me sleep at night knowing everything is in good hands. The few times litigation reared its ugly head Joel kicked butt! He won every battle we had to fight. He won because he was not just prepared, but over prepared. The battle was over before it had begun – the other side just didn’t know it. If you are not just looking for an attorney, but an attorney AND counselor working in your best interest – Joel’s the guy.

Joel has been my lawyer for many years now. He has been there for me during good times but more importantly the bad ones. No one should want to go to court but when I did I am glad I had Joel on my side. The other reviewers on this site don't seem to understand billing or how much money attorneys c...ost. Its not cheap but it is necessary!
