It is really hard for me to find words that describe my experience with Devin and his staff. First off, I have been working diligently on my personal case for more than 7 years and I was becoming increasingly frustrated and discouraged about all my efforts in protecting my son. Devin McIlvain was the second attorney assigned to my "simple" divorce case. My previous lawyer decided on a career change in the middle of my case. While she would have completed my case, I wasn't impressed with her progress against my ex's counsel. That horrid woman was disorganized to the point th...at she embarrassed me with her ability to lose documents and delay proceedings. Then again, that's what my ex wanted her to do. I chose to stay with the firm the previous lawyer left, which turned out to be the best choice for my case. Devin took over, and I noticed the difference immediately. The first lawyer had drafted a motion and never filed it. Devin did, and my ex's counsel came out of hiding and back to the negotiations. I felt supported, and Devin answered all of my questions. I was pleasantly surprised that he granted my request for a face-to-face meeting with him during the pandemic. I wasn't sure if I could trust him after my experience with the first lawyer. I had spent several hours researching numbers for a settlement offer that I felt was fairer than what he originally proposed to give to my ex's counsel. I sent this to him to review before our meeting and received good feedback from him on my work. While I did not get everything I wanted out of the divorce, my divorce went through despite multiple attempts to delay proceedings. I am grateful for Mr. McIlvain's assistance in this matter. I would hire him again.

Devin handled the entire process of my divorce and custody case with great care.
