My divorce was something that had been a long time coming, but nothing could have prepared me for the actual event. I was drowning. I hired Anita Springsteen to represent me in my child custody case. I felt that she did not do an adaquate job with her representation. She was ill prepared for court. She seemed very nervous and did not maintain her train of thought in the course of her examination. She frequently got confused and... did not ask obvious follow up questions. After our court date I told her I no longer wanted her representation. She ignored my wishes and continued billing. I then sent two diferrent emails stating that I no longer wanted her representation. She again ignored me and continued billing. When all was said and done she had billed 5900.00 more than our original agreement.
