I graduated from the Jesuit school Gonzaga School of Law in 1979, practiced law for a year and then attend the University of Denver School of Law, graduating in 1981 with a Master's in Tax Law. Immediately thereafter, I was a tax lawyer for then Touche Ross, in Denver Colorado. A client asked me to work for his real estate company and in 1983 I became in house counsel and later started my own firm. So I have bascially practiced law for over 30 years ~ hard to believe, even for me.
I enjoy helping consumers through their problems. I find the AVVO review process almost comical, where some lawyers that I have never heard of in Denver get 5 stars even though I have never seen them in court. I was a chapter 7 trustee for close to 15 years and know all the bankruptcy lawyers. Most that I know are excellent, but strangely, the ones with highest reviews file few, very few cases. So, I do not understand how a lawyer with a few years of experience and one client review has a top AVVO score. Oh well, it is what it is!

Awesome!
He walked me through step by step. Kept me informed at all times what was going on with my bankruptcy and what was going to happen. It was a scary time for me in my life and Mr. Cimino and his staff were very helpful and genuinely concerned throughout the whole process.

AVOID John Cimino
John Cimino represented me in a bankruptcy matter. He failed to advise of a hearing, was late for the re-scheduled hearing, failed to file a motion with the court and failed to advise me timely about not filing the motion. I'm sorry I ever heard his name - was referred to Cimino by an 'expert'.

Shameful.
First mistake was we paid him in full up front. Upon realizing a detail of our case that we had clearly informed him about at least one month prior, at the last minute of our filing meeting he advised that we wait to file the case, refused to fully research and resolve the simple legal question, and...
"I endorse this lawyer. John Cimino is a competent bankruptcy attorney who goes out of his way and fights for his clients."
"Mr. Cimino is a very competent bankruptcy attorney who knows the bankruptcy world inside and out. He has worked as a bankruptcy trustee and has represented thousands of people in personal and business bankruptcies. I highly recommend Mr. Cimino."
