Howard Barry Zucker

I hired him to represent me at a Temporary Orders hearing with little advance warning. He got the info he needed to present an excellent case which resulted in an award significantly below what had been offered beforehand. He was professional at all times in spite of opposing lawyers's tactics. I hig...hly recommend him.

Going through divorce proceedings can be an extremely emotionally traumatic experience.. with Howard, I found strength, assurance and was able to make it through, make hard decisions and hold it together. I felt that with his level of experience, he made it as painless as can be, especially so during... mediation. He was able to advice and guide me through the mediation process efficiently so we accomplish a fair settlement within the allocated time and prevent the negotiations from escalating to high court. He made a seemingly difficult process as painless as can be and for that I'm thoroughly thankful. Howard came to me as a professional referral and I'm glad I chose Howard. It was a choice between another attorney that charges approximately two thirds of Howard's rate who does not employ a paralegal and Howard who only charges his rate when he's working on the case and the majority of the time, bills at less than half his rate when Cheryl his paralegal who is also the Notary Public, is managing the communications and paperwork. I believe that had I gone with the other lawyer who was also recommended to me, I would have probably spent more overall and I'm not sure if we would have been able to come to a settlement as quickly. With Howard's "bulldog" demeanor that he unleashes on occasion, he gets things done. I believe Howard's model is more efficient and cost effective. Cheryl, his paralegal, is a joy to work with. She's efficient, effective and very easily accessible and responsive. Everything you'll want in a supportive role that's this significant and probably more time intensive. At times, when I find myself completely at a loss, concerned for mine and other's safety, she even steps in at a personal level to offer her 2 cents. While the entirety of severing ties with my past did drag on for years after the divorce was official, the part that Howard and Cheryl was involved with was quick and as painless as can be. I very much appreciate their expertise, usually delivered timely, which allowed me to made quick decisions and move on. I would not have moved on with my life as quickly had it not been for them and for that I owe them big. I very much respect what they do as it's certainly not easy to do what they do! With Howard, you can be assured that you have the right man for the job. He gets things done when you need it the most.

Howard was recommended to me by a close friend who used him for her divorce. I worked with him for almost a year and can honestly say he is an all-in lawyer who truly cares about his clients and their unique situations. He asks probing questions and intently listens, helping you work through the emo...tions and uncertainties that come with this process. He is no drama, tells you like it is, and does it all with extreme compassion and clarity.Time is at a premium during a divorce on many levels, and he makes it efficient and as painless as possible. Howard has done this for a long time, so has seen it all and provided a constant voice of reason. One of the many things that I respect him for is his honesty and that he sets clear expectations. His priority is getting his clients through the process as painlessly and effectively as possible - which he did for me, and my friend. I have waited over a year to write this review. It was important to me that I write an honest and truthful account of what I believe happened during my divorce. I wanted to be certain that I wrote from a place devoid of emotion and based on truthful assessment I think Mr. Zucker treated me with a ...total lack of regard and respect and showed little indication that he had care for the fiduciary commitment that he made to me. As I recall, he promised to represent my interests, when instead, he did little to nothing to indicate that he was indeed doing his job. Howard is smart. He used verbal correspondence most of the time. I now understand that it is impossible to prove anything that was spoken. The only things he put in writing were things that served to place him in a favorable light. As an example: During one of our many phone conversations, I had a friend of mine listen in. When Mr. Zucker found out, he came unglued and threatening. Over time, I have learned that he was simply afraid of any trail that might prove his wrongdoing. He took advantage of a woman (me), who was frightened and emotionally and physically drained. Anyone who has been through divorce can tell you how difficult it is. In the end, my 16 year marriage ended with me being left homeless. My my ex kept 2 homes and all of the marital assets save a few household items. I didn't even have pots and pans or a vacuum cleaner. My ex walked away with untold millions. In my opinion Mr. Zucker's actions were unconscionable and actionable, but with the lack of physical proof, I have little recourse.
