I looked around for a lawyer who handled employer law. I contacted quite a few places before I found Mitchner Law. Each of the other places I contacted seemed to me that they were focused solely on the cash value of the situation. Mr. Mitchner - to me - seemed to focus more on the principle of the si...tuation and how to come to a resolution. Now of course I can't go too much into detail regarding my specific case but I want to emphasize that Mr. Mitchner was kind, attentive, very communicative and overall, a great professional to work with. I highly recommend this individual

Tom and I signed a contract. He worked my case, but he never informed me of what his plan was. More importantly, he never explained why he adopted a different plan than he and I originally discussed before signing the contract. Then this lack of communication and his typical one-week lag in replyi...ng to me created a problem and he abruptly dropped my case. He said it was due to a difference in goals between him and me. However, the fact is that he dropped it because he was looking for a quick and easy way out and he either failed to explain the legal reasons behind his position, or he was covering up the fact that his goals were not in my best interest. That position, in itself, is wrong. That delayed and hurt my case. That added to the frustration of managing a legal matter. And what was exceptionally disappointing was that my replacement attorney explained a few things to me that, if Tom had had taken the time to explain them, would have eliminated any difference in goals that he used as an excuse to walk out and leave me stranded for awhile. He was unprofessional. His unprofessional behavior damaged my position. I recommend that you seek a different attorney that places more emphasis on professional legal work and quality communications, and less time on spam emails to his clients.
