Luke W. McConnell

Luke McConnell is an amazing human being and an excellent defense attorney. I cannot say enough about this man and his many facets of excellence. I was facing serious felony charges that were setting me up for a minimum of 10 years and upto 30 years in prison. Unfortunately, I had initially hired... an attorney that proved to be extremely incompetent, and was not able to make any headway with the prosecuting deputy district attorney. When it seemed like the walls were closing in and that I was certain to be sentenced to jail, I managed to look up Luke online where I read great reviews about his practice. I was especially pleased to find out that one of Luke's areas of criminal defense practice specialized in mental health cases which happened to be the central theme in my criminal case ( I was suffering a complete mental breakdown when I committed the crimes). I immediately switched to Luke McConnell after he heard my case and was willing to represent me. Right away in working with Luke, I noticed how extremely diligent he was in listening to what I had to say, understanding all the nuances and complexities of the case, as well as having extreme empathy and compassion for what I was going through. He truly stepped in at a time where I was extremely stressed out and practically incapable of doing anything for myself. In working with me and representing my case, he shouldered all of the burden and provided great counsel and emotional support to help me get through. Luke was methodical, well organized, and had a clear plan of how he wanted to approach the deputy district attorney and construct my defense. Luke did an amazing job and guided me every step along the way as we went from one hearing to the next in my case, each time making favorable progress in my defense. Luke was always ahead of the curve and able to anticipate all the moves made by the prosecution. In the end he was able to construct my mental health related defense and was able to provide the prosecution with the adequate documentation so as to have my charges reduce to misdemeanors. Because of Luke and his amazing defense attorney skills, I was able to avoid going to jail. I ended up receiving out of state probation as part of a plea deal with the DAs office. I would also like to add how electronically savvy Luke is- he is readily available via email and is very responsive. He quickly calls you back when you reach out to him at his office. His ease of availability puts the mind at ease. He electronically submitted supporting defense documentation to the judge ahead of my sentencing hearing so as to provide me with the opportunity to allow the judge to review favorable material without interference from the prosecution. Like I said in the beginning, Luke is an exceptional human being who is highly intelligent and has a great big heart. Even though my case is settled, we still remain in touch and he still checks in on me from time to time to make sure I am progressing well. Luke, thank you for everything you have done for my family and I- I do not have to words to express my gratitude and cannot thank you enough. I believe I have gotten a second chance at life because of you. Thank you.

Luke is one of the most outstanding and professional lawyers I could of ever met.
