Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, I obtained a B.S., in finance with a minor in economics from Miami (Ohio) University in 2000. I then spent a year working in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court and then enrolled at Case Western Reserve University, where I graduated in 2004 with a joint J.D./M.B.A. degree. My love of snowboarding, hiking, and fly fishing inspired my move to Colorado to further pursue these activities and my legal career. Until 2008, I practiced insurance law exclusively in the areas of workers' compensation and subrogation.
I am rated AV Preeminent with Martindale-Hubbell, and Super Lawyers Magazine named me a Colorado "Rising Star" in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015.
