I was not charged or arrested for a crime at this point, however due to the seriousness of the allegations it was a good thing that I retained Mr. Cohen’s services. We called Doug for advice on legal situation my daughter was involved with iout of state. This review comes all to easy for me to write and I want to save people out there a lot of money. We had paid Doug Cohen of Peak Legal Services 10K and received very little for our money. Mr. Cohen was sarcastic, rude, mean and condescending. He was happy to take our case on then he changed. I w...as fighting four misdemeanor probation violations, two of which I admit I was guilty for. Those two were on me. I failed myself, my family and my lawyer on that. I suffered three strokes during this time and was on one 11 different prescribed medications, which more than like caused the other two false positives. My fiance and i did most of the work. Mr Cohen could not even find time to meet with me and we he did he was very negative and acted like a bully. He lacked respect for my family and myself. At the end, on the day of my sentencing Mr. Cohen was a 'no show' , instead I was there alone. I was sentenced to 18 months in county jail for four alleged 'hot' UA's, that being the maximum sentencing for county jail for a misdemeanor. We have disputed half the charges and have since hired another attorney one who is doing a fantastic job. I filed for 'inefective counsel' with the courts and am working on getting to a treatment center instead of jail for a penalty not worthy of the crime. If you are considering hiring Doug Cohen of Peak Legal Services, remember this, though everyone is innocent until proven guilty you will not get that feeling from Peak Legal. If you've been arrested for any type of misdemeanor, expect to be treated as though you've already been proven guilty and convicted, for the team at Peak Legal won't 'zealously' defend you as they themselves have chosen to be your judge and jury.
