I have hired Abe Hutt as my attorney several time over the past decade. In my opinion, one could not find a better attorney then Abe Hutt. This lawyer handled my case with complete incompetence. From the beginning he failed to subpoena video of the arrest from a store so their head of security erased critical parts of the arrest. Then Hutt changed firms and was not returning emails and for 6 months did not contact me until finally less ...then 20 hours before a court date . He forgot everything about my case and I had to take over and instruct him how to get evidence to impeach the police. Abe Hutt told me "I don't put on a defense". He also forgot to show for court and I had to call him; to call the court as he is saying "I don't have anything in my file". He is definitely a waste of an attorney, the only time he showed emotion was when I told him I was going to fire him. Then I was told by Abe Hutt that the DA offered a plea deal with no jail, no supervised probation and a deferred sentence that would be for a traffic infraction. I took that deal, than Bait & Switched to something else 6 months supervised vacation, hours of community service and no travel and no credit for time served. Abe Hutt left and I have never heard from him again. I should have fired him the first time he didn't get the video evidence.
