Very disappointing

I could give zero stars. Cheryl represented me in divorce case and I was not represented in a professional way and her lack of knowledge in presenting critical evidence was zero. I thought that someone holding a license for 40 years would be more knowledgeable. Your life depends on representation, ...go somewhere else if you want professional. Thank me later!

Down to Earth, No nonsense lawyer

I needed a lawyer quickly upon being served divorce papers by my ex. Cheryl was prompt to take my case. She was able to advise me what was legal and possible within the law. Her no nonsense straight to the point advice is what I needed. She promptly returned all my emails and phone calls and worked s...everal late nights on my case. My ex had a nasty lawyer who was not agreeable to any compromises, and Cheryl had no problem negotiating fairness between the parties. At times, she had to fight ferociously with my ex’s lawyer, which I needed. I felt that the outcome of the divorce was fair and appropriate due to Cheryl’s involvement. Several months later, my ex filed multiple motions trying to change the outcome of the divorce and parenting agreement. Cheryl was there every step of the way, filing contempt charges against my ex and again fighting ferociously on my behalf. In the end, the parenting agreement was in my favor due to Cheryl’s abilities.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
