I was referred to Laura Wolf by several attorneys in Colorado- which is always a good sign. When I was laid off from my job and offered a severance package, I hired Ms. Wolf to consult with me on the grounds by which I was terminated (gender discrimination) and to review the Severance Agreement provi...ded to determine if I had a case. Ms. Wolf was incredibly thorough and candid, reviewing my Severance Agreement paragraph by paragraph with me so I understood what I might be signing, and offering me a few different options and implications of each. The conversation was incredibly authentic; and because the dialogue was very real, with potential consequences for each scenario, I felt I had thoroughly exhausted all my options and felt good with my decision not to pursue. Although I was told I would probably receive more money if we took it further, I was also informed that it may not be enough to warrant the emotional toll it could take. I did not feel any pressure to pursue, just very solid and trustworthy guidance, which was much needed in a stressful financial and emotional situation. The consult fee was well worth the peace of mind to no longer worry and waffle over the scenarios I kept running in my head.
