Posted by Kate | October 22, 2020 | Hired Attorney | Divorce & Separation

It felt like she just avoided listening to me when it was easier.

I used her services for a divorce. The main thing I asked for was a request that he pay the legal costs. I followed up repeatedly and when it came up in the documents she made it sound like we were covering our costs if we did mediation, so I sign. He's working, I'm not, and it turns out that was ...the legal costs, too. It feels like she just blew the whole thing off. There were also multiple instances that I was told I got a call or email, one never came through, questions weren't answered, and she said she would follow up, let me know, but I would get a call later asking where things were at.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
