Very impressed!
I hired Mr Mattersdorff to probate my mother's will. He was very informative, very prompt and professional. For what I thought would take months to complete, he completed in a little over one month from start to finish. Also a very fair price, especially when compared to other firms. I highly recomme...

Highly Recommend
I live in an entirely different city and Mr. Mattersdorff has helped tremendously with a difficult estate situation. He is easy to get in contact with, extremely thorough, and efficient in his work. I am glad I trusted him with this case.

This lawyer did a very good job. Would recommend.
I hired Richard Mattersdorff to take care of a probate and later for the sale of a property, both within one year. He did a very good job. Prompt, attentive and professional. We have and will continue to recommend him. Patricia

Bad experience
Richard was referred to us by the someone at the El Paso Bar Association. He was friendly, but once I wrote that check out, his attitude quickly changed. In general I can say: when a non-client wants to find and pay for legal representation for someone else, the lawyer has to do the following: 1. Contact the potential client to make sure the client wants to be represented by the attorney. It is the potential client's decision. Always. 2. Obtain potential client's permission to accept money from a third party for the representation. That is the client's decision. Always. 3. Make sure both client and the person paying understand that the client is the client. The person paying does not get special access to the client's information or the attorney's communications with the client. The person paying does not get any control over the attorney's representation of the client.
