She went above and beyond what she had to do!

She was handling a DWI case for me, pro bono. I also had a pending custody case. She did me a favor by resetting my DWI case so that I wouldn't have it hanging over me when I went to court for custody. She and her team were very friendly and helpful. Thank you Laura!

Just started.. but very pleased

I just retained her as my lawyer. She and her staff have been amazing to me. I call and they try there best to explain everthing. They listen to everything u have to say, and she does fight for you. As you know reviews are always bad when you read them online that’s all anyone writes is bad reviews.I...’m in a child custody case. She called me and listened to ever word I said. Unlike a lawyer I had before. She know her stuff and will fight for you. Her lady’s in her office are so amazing. Very helpful, and professional. Pray for me that all this continues. She is straight and to the point and does have my child’s best interest at heart. She tell me straight how it is and I really respect her for that. Well she how it’s goes.. I have a great feeling about her.. to be continued!!

Satisfied Customer

At first I felt Mrs. Carpenter was impersonal towards me as a client. I hired Mrs. Carpenter for my divorce and child custody legal issues. My experiences with her and her law firm were from July 2012-August 2015. I spent around five thousand dollars paying for her legal representation. Of course... I did not like the amount of money I had to pay because it was a small fortune to me, but if I wanted a good lawyer I knew I would have to pay for one. That is simply how it works. Mrs. Carpenter was not available to me all the time but her staff was and consulted with her about any problems I had then promptly got in touch with me with information. I saw a great team effort from the Law Offices of Laura Carpenter towards my case. I learned that just because Mrs. Carpenter and I didn't have a personal relationship did not mean that she wasn't invested in accomplishing my goals for my case. She kept our relationship professional and I respect her for it. However, it was extremely difficult, at first, for me because my heart was in every minute of it. My sons well being absolutely depended on the outcome. Mrs. Carpenter is honorable and she is skilled at her work. Her confidence and demeanor in the court room is a force to be reckoned with. She has worked among the Odessa/Midland community for over ten years I believe and is a respected part of that community. There is a lot of benefit in having a local lawyer who has known most (if not all) of the Judges and legal counselors. She understands and executes the appropriate legal documents involved in cases. I learned, through my experience, that is actually the most important aspect of a successful outcome. I don't like or agree with that but, it is what it is. I strongly recommend Laura Carpenter as legal representation for divorce and child custody cases.

Doesn't work for her clients

I paid well over $3,000 to have her help me with an uncontested divorce with children. Over a year and a half had passed, and I still wasn't divorced. I lost my job during that time, and turned in all necessary paperwork for her to help me get my child support modified during the process. Instead, sh...e did nothing and actually told me I should be paying more according to her calculations. She kept asking for money, but never produced any results. Every time I called, I was speaking to someone different. There didn't seem to be any consistency. I finally quit paying her and told her I would be going pro-se. I had my divorce finalized in 90 days going that route. Do yourself a favor and save your money instead of hiring her.

WORST LAWYER EVER

She charges for everything . Paied up front 3000 ...but she never handled my case .. Her staff never knew what was going on .. Charged every little thing for phone calls for walking in the office .. 300 here and 300 there for everything ... Charged 500 to send in the final papers never did then 2 mon...ths later I asked for the papers and said it was 350 for resending them .... Or she would drop me as a client ... She is a horrible person doesnt care about people she repersent
