A good lawyer

Laura won my case in the courtroom. I was offered a settlement before we went in. She told me she thought she could do better and get what I really wanted. She was right. She is a good lawyer.

INCOMPETENT

I had to call them about my case. I got charged for issues I would call about and then they would Never call me back. The week of my court case, she had not contacted me to discuss my case. She filed for continuance without my permission. I was told I should be in court in one month & it took alm...ost 8 months to Finally get a court case. Rude, unprofessional & should not be practicing.

Very Unprofessional

I hired Laura for a family law case. I did not meet the attorney, nor did I have direct contact with her until the day of the trial. She pushed back my trial date on 2 separate occasions, and tried for a third; however I was unaware the court had refused to postpone again. I was made aware of this pr...oblem four hours before the trail began. During the consultation before trial, she was very unprofessional and derogatory. Did not consult me for any decisions regarding my case, including the counter petition. Very costly, and she charged for everything: Phone calls, looking at paperwork, etc. Very negative experience. TWICE...

My exhusband and I hired her in the nineties for a sexual harassment case and we won when the company settled, she fought hard for his rights and we felt like she really cared about our situation, fast foward a decade and my husband and I were divorcing and I needed a lawyer that I could trust, she s...imply treated me like a completely different person and I was left with such a sad feeling because lawyers and clients DO share a personal bond its a traumatic time and you look to someone to HELP YOU OUT! of course my money wasnt like it used to be since we were divorcing , but I felt like she should have treated me like a WOMAN rather than a divorcee with no money.She had no problem helping us when we won the lawsuit, she represented us with no money down, but took a big chunk of our settlement, I just felt like she was motivated by monetary gain rather than trying to guide people through their legal woes. I finally downloaded paper work from the court house and paid for my legal fees and got divorced for like 250.00.

STOLE OUR MONEY!!

DO NOT HIRE!! We called numerous times and could never speak with her about our case. Her staff could never answer any of our questions and only called when they wanted more money. We decided not to pay another cent until we spoke with Laura and she would never return our calls she then dropped us as... a client without ever speaking to us or doing anything for our case after we paid her $1500. She wants the money without doing the work. Hire someone who cares about your case because hiring her was the worst decision I have ever made!!
